It's a mystery how the Spanish teams have a better winning mentality than their Italian counterparts despite being equally poor in terms of finance. Baring Barcelona and Real Madrid of course.

we wouldn’t even finish in the top 10 in the premier league and inter as Serie A winner didn't even make it through group stage.

Serie A teams have loser mentality, because the league is far from being competive despite the race for top 4. Juve for instance should be midtable with how much they sucked this season let alone top 4

but EPL is still a joke with no competition in recent times. The winner is wins by 12-15 points easily.

2007 - 2021 is EPL imo. Just because Real won doesn't mean that La Liga is/was better.
La Liga dominated the CL between 2010-17

Real Madrid 4 CL
Barcelona 2 CL

Also there had been two Spanish finals A.Madrid vs Real Madrid happened twice.

Then there are the EL won by Seville.

EPL was actually struggling to the point that Serie A even overtook it in UEFA coefficients.

The EPL tends to dominate whenever there is a void and Europe is weakened. Last time it was just after the Italian 'scandal' and now it's with the decline of Real Madrid and Barcelona. They'll continue to dominate for a couple of years and then find it hard due to the over competitiveness of their league once Real, Barcelona and Juve rebuild.
Either way, hats of to the smaller La Liga teams for maintaining their competitiveness with little to spend.

We’re in for a culture shock in the EL. Teams will actually fight for every ball. Even though most will be shit. Probably the kick up the ass we need.
