People in ur country actually like Salzburg? Thought it was the other way round and people love it when they fail.
A lot of people dislike them because they believe they are an artificial product existing for the sole purpose of pushing Red Bull.

Nevertheless, their fan base is growing, especially with younger people, since they are the most successful Austrian club in recent history.

Yeah, I've heard that old Salzurg fans even founded new Austria Salzburg club as a protest move against Red Bull.

Yes, they did. Red Bull took over the license of former Austria Salzburg and basically founded a new club. There is a lot of discussion going on whether the club and fans see themselves as successor of the former or as new club.

They re-founded Austria Salzburg plays in a lower league and tends to go bankrupt regularly.
