Congrats to Belgium, well deserved win, Romania really tried their best in the second half and even bottled a few clear cut chances that could have changed the momentum of the match but truth be told despite Belgium showing some moments of weakness the difference in quality was obvious from the very beginning and it eventually shined through.

Luckily it’s not yet over for us tho, we continue to hope in getting a draw vs Slovakia in the last game which should likely be enough to have us qualify.

Agreed.

All in all I think Belgium were the better side today, but if Romania took their chances in the second half things could have gone very differently.

I have a serious problem with how many females are football pundits on english tv, its been the case for a couple of years, more so since england women won the euros.

I have no issues with women but fucking hell it bothers me how they have fuck all insight to the game and they all seemingly talk like fucking chavs.

that lukaku offside was utterly ridiculous. Fucking hate this semi automated system, absolutely stupid and easily manipulated with capturing the wrong frame.
I can see your point.

I also feel like the system now favours the more defensive team. You can go back ages for a handball, maybe there was a toe offside four passes before the goal.. the system needs tuning.

On the other hand since VAR and technology another 2002 World Cup has become impossible and I can only be happy about that.

Honestly a margin for error should be allowed on this offside ruling, its the only way it'll work.

the tennis hawk eye has a margin of error of ~2mm. i don't think there's anyone who wouldn't accept it. but when you're at full sprint and you do ~10 meters per second, then an 50 fps system can have 20 cm's between two frames. even half of that speed results in a margin of error of 10 cm - yet they take away goals because of alleged millimetric offsides

fifa/uefa and every league that implemented the system should simply come out and say that the margin of error of the system is ... cm's and they won't intervene when the offside falls within the margin of error

I mean lets take 20cm for example, thats hardly a measurement which would be deemed as a major advantage. I just find it amazing how every sport I watch where technology is used seemingly works, but with football, nothing works.

I saw it yesterday

“There’s nobody like Messi and I don’t think that there ever will be somebody like Messi. [He's] a generational talent, it’s like [Diego] Maradona and then Messi has just had that crown but there’s other players… Jude Bellingham, you know. [Christian] Pulisic is coming up,” said Lloyd.
