yeah very one sided game so far, and i don't see how italy will start to win duels in midfield after the break. barella isn't bad but those ridiculous gds headlines ("mix between pirlo and gattuso" or some shit like that) are way off the mark

also i wonder how no one compared spalletti to allegri yet lol. so far this has been some genuine jihadball. they might even get one shot on target in the 84th minute to score the only goal of the game
I don't put it down to tactics though, as much as I loathe it Spain are just better.

Scamacca, Fratessi and Di Lorenzo pitiful performances. Should all be hooked at HT

DiMarco pretty bad too. No one besides Bastoni, Donnarumma and Calafiori look up for it tonight. I honestly think their best hope is just sitting back and jihading to a 0-0 which almost certainly gets them to the KO rounds
I though Barella looks decent, his engine is great. How I wish we could have him at Juve, would be perfect.

Well this is clearly a nadir weak generation for Italy in my mind. No surprises. Coach Spalletti can only work with his €10 to make a restaurant meal out of breadsticks and tap water.

Has Jorginho done anything? Spalletti seems to have gone young so maybe him off for Fagioli and anyone for Di Lorenzo.
Jorginho hasn't done anything for years, but these fucking senile italian managers keep picking this useless fuck

I disagree to a degree, Croatia created far more problems for Spain than Italy have so far.

It's not that weak. I'd put it top 4 on the continent.

The forward spot is such a huge weak point though, it affect everything. Without goals nothing else matters. It reminds me of our Drawventus era.

Maybe Spain have really got their shit together for this tournament? There only fault is not being able to take their chances. Italy need a Pirlo from deep to set up counters with a laser guided pass.

If they can keep it close, sure. Teamwork counts. But for breakthroughs needed to turn a match? Even with Chiesa it’s hard to see here.

This is a team that survives by keeping it close at best. Stretch them beyond that, and I don’t see any answers.

You're all going to disagree, but Berardi is clearly missed to provide a threat on that other wing. Tonali would probably be a big help too to provide a threat from deep.

I wouldnt say weak. I think Italy have been unlucky in the sense that we've also lost many players to injury or bans going into this tournament. Udogie, Scalvini, Acerbi, Tonali e.t.c. are all missed.

Then again we offer nothing going forward regardless of this.

Scamacca giving us his Ciro impression so maybe Raspadori or Regetui? Why take them to Germany to sit on bench. Look I haven't seen Regetui ever play but I still give him a shot. He surely isn't going to give up a goal.
