I fully agree with this post.

Regarding black players lacking technique, this is not true for the players who have African ethnicity but were born and raised in Europe. These guys have all the genetically gifted physical attributes and are taught the European way of playing football from day 1.

Not saying that Italy need to do a France and play the best African XI, but in my opinion it is specifically the future of the wide forward/winger position. Players like Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal, Saka, etc.

I don't think anyone argued that black players lack technique. My point is that it will not be impossible for white players to make an impact, because at the very least they can develop skill and skill matters in football.

This opposed to certain events in track and field for example. No one is going to run a WR 100m these days, if he's not from West African descent. Hell, it's even unlikely someone will run the world record if his ancestors did not move from West Africa to the Caribbean / US. Obviously white kids too like to sprint, but you can't get around the fact that the sport is far less appealing for them if they know from the start they will never become an Olympic champion.

It's not like that in football. They can still dream.

They're not stupid, they know that we'll try to enslave them, so they don't stay here and they go further north and west.
Jokes aside, Croatia's last two world cups are most probably the last good result of an Eastern European football team. We don't stand a chance anymore vs the West.
That's only because you are pitiful slavemasters compared to Western and Northern Europe. No one enslaves other people quite as well (or often) as we do.

Certain skills are being lost because everyone is focused on fitness. Rodri is nobody compared to players Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo etc, but stands out because he plays old school style with excellent passing and control. M'Bappe is talented, but zero compared to Henry, his touch, technique, control, finishing, and decision-making were incredible. Someone tell me if there is a free kick taker anywhere near Juninho or Beckham level? No English players come close to Rooney despite this being the best generation of English players.

Once again you make a good point. You will create "welcome immigrants" banners and you will tell them how beautiful they are before you start raping them continuously, generation after generation.
The dumb brutes here will kick them in the face and kill them on the spot, and they'll lose their free sex and labor.

I don't know.

The pace of the game has gone up and it's more difficult to execute skills at a faster pace. Maybe Xavi would look sloppy in today's game. And maybe talented players stand out less, because the lesser gods have simply improved compared to before.

Yeah, I can see that argument.

I'm not sure about Italy, but in Belgium at least there is just so much in terms of sports these days. And often, unfortunately, it is used by parents to increase their network. Sports like hockey, tennis or golf for example are quicly becoming more popular and it's not always the kids making the initial choice.
I guess this will become a bigger problem in countries with larger percentage of middle or higher classes, and as they grow.

Well, I'm not sure it's necessarily a "problem".

But yeah, it's definitely not the same as when I grew up. I think pretty much every boy from my class at least tried football and if you weren't part of a team, you were the creative kid or something.

Football really is a unique sport, was just thinking now how i’ve been actively rooting against the dutch every KO game till now(vs Romania for obvious reasons and vs Turkyie because of cheering for Yildiz) and been kinda pissed off they advanced to the semi’s only to find my self now being like the biggest Netherlands fan for tonight and really hoping they go to the final…

I guess that’s what seeing England potentially winning the Euro’s does to people.
