How does this work now with the Nations League? Is it still first place goes through, second goes to a playoff?
No.

1st and 2nd place goes through. Third place goes out.

But ... winners of the recent Nations League groups are the teams that go into play-offs if they don't finish 1st or 2nd.

It's high time the 1st seeds just qualified automatically. There's no way that any of those in Pot 1 in all groups A-J won't finish in 1st or 2nd place. Away games in Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands etc are a pointless interruption of the domestic schedule, on a shitty pitch, and unnecessary travel. And home games - a meaningless and boring training ground re-enactment of attack vs defence.

The Champions League already has automatic entry into the group stages for the major leagues, similar arrangements could be made at international level.

Saw that, Müller is pretty salty and made a statement crying about it
Bayern fans are salty as well. It's a weird ass timing for sure though, gotta give em that. Bad style - as always when the DFB/Jogi sacks players. Absolutely out of the blue.

Why not right after the WC? You know, instead of just making Sami the fall guy.

I'm relaxed. I knew we would fuck it up, so good luck to Italy and Finland. They're the best teams in the group anyways.
Yes, we about to get stomped by Italy and then its over. Then Dzeko retires and Pjanic tells fuck it, im gone as well. Baka back as NT coach
