I was never more confident in a win than I was in 2018 when Croatia met England in the semis. Croatia's defense was below average, the attack was just ok. England had better defense and attack. But when one midfield is vastly superior to the other, as Croatia's was to England's, then the winner is always known. England with Rice and Philips doesn't stand a chance in a final against Italy.

 Great point. I mean, when Jordan Henderson is your sexy pinup of a midfielder, you're better off with celibacy.
Immobile or Belotti against a defence that has yet to concede this entire tournament.

Hope Chiesa steps up again.
I don't see this England squad completing this tournament without giving up a goal. That just ain't happening. More likely is we'll not only see it breached, but see it breached badly.

Nice jynx, Alen Delon.

As much as I'd normally love to see England lose here for the final's sake I don't mind if they go through.
Italy losing in the final to England would be the intl equivalent of the 2003 Juve-Milan.
Italy losing to Denmark would be the 1997 Juve-Dortmund. You pick which is more painful.
