Maybe it's no different in France, Germany, Spain or Italy etc. I don't read their news as I don't speak any of the languages besides some German. But looking from the outside, the English just seems so entitled to believe it's always their turn.

They'll tell you how they invented it, They also boast how they have the best league and how all their players or in this case vast majority play in that best league. They only ever watch their own league, their own players, watch sky sports, listen to talk sports while digging in their bangers and mash. Seen it since I was a child and it's so off putting, like you said I'm sure same it's elsewhere but this always feels a whole different level, the sheer arrogance and delusion riles me up. I have to face these entitled retards everywhere I go, to be honest I've survived this long by fueling the hype, make the fuckers believe even more but talking football with them is like talking to monkeys holding a banana it's theirs, noone elses, so long as you wave them their banana at them they'll treat you well.

I think this all started from 96, the whole coming home song, the culture, the hype, has stayed, different generation but it's been passed. Few years later they were also starting to slowly build and become relevant at club level too.

What's funny is I stumbled across a BBC article comparing Like Shaw to Roberto Carlos. Shawberto Carlos, fuck me, haha.

“I saw Chiellini and Bonucci deal with Lukaku and thought maybe it’s better to take away a reference point, add another body in midfield. It was a good plan, we overcame the Italy press and played really well.
“It won’t be good for the English, but yes, I will cheer on Italy in the Final.”

Yeah, I think people overreacted a bit after his comments before the game. This was by no means a bad tournament for Spain, their team is just going to keep getting better.

Thinking back, this match was a treat. well played with really good moves and counter moves from the managers both sides deserve a a lot of praise

English press already talking about bringing in some Danish into premier league, like they don't have enough Danish already. I wonder how many Italians will end up in the premier league after this tournament. Traditionally there's been very few, and there wasn't much of a change after they won WC 2006 or reached final in EC in 2012. That partly might be down to Italians not wanting to move but I think it's also the fact they focus less on serie A and Bundesliga altogether.

Since 2010, France and Spain have been in the top 3 most imported foreigners averaging around 30+ players each. Then you see nation's like Ireland, Brazil, Portugal and Netherlands and Belgium somewhere amongst top 5.

That's because Serie A was still considered a top league then. However, there is worrying trend of Italians leaving to play abroad more recently.
