The only good country naming story I have is that they call the bird/food turkey "Peru" here, but yet they call Peru Peru and Turkey Turquia.

But the story behind why they call turkey "perú" is a good one... and is geographically more accurate than the countries who call it "turkey".

I didn't get to watch that one, how did both sides look? Stats look pretty even but England with a much higher xG.

It was just a sloppy and slow game. Croatia uninspired and England very good defensively shutting Croatia down. And scoring on 1 of their rare chances. All in all a boring and poor game.
