Even Chiesa is invisible. I expected Italy to struggle as always against Spain but not that much.

No point playing all these little technical midfielders if you're refusing to actually use them and bypassing them. Get some legs on.

Need to press the Spanish midfield you can't sit off of players like Busquettes. He's old and slow as fuck but these weaknesses mean nothing if you let him play at walking pace.

Pirlo today could be playing for Spain because there's been almost no physicality required

Such an odd half

Spain dominated but we still look dangerous when we go forward.

Loca will add some height to the midfield, we need to keep playing direct. I feel as though Jorginho has been completely nullified.

Midfield losing the battle so far
LE sacrificed the striker to do this so they have midfielf but that threat up front is not there. You are looking for an attacking midfielder to score a difficult goal. I think what LE has done is right but there is no perfect tactic.

Be interesting to see what Mancini does at HT.

Yeah it's not his fault though. Italy are treating this Spain like they're the one from a decade ago. It's like they don't believe they can keep the ball

Italy naive as fuck with high pressure, and big gap between defence and midfield. Spain just passing it straight through the lines. Got to be more compact and not make silly passes again and again. The only positiv is that spain should be leading and dont. Italy must adjust and make changes.

Midfield is non existent, so much space. Locatelli is needed badly. Can't blame the front 3..they are getting nothing and our defense is struggling cuz they have absolutely no cover in front of them at all.

Has jorginho touched the ball?

Emerson is actually playing better than I thought he would.

Brych is a disaster.

Immobile is playing for Spain. Worst striker I've ever seen. And they left Kean at home for this shit.

Midfield needs to step up or get out. Busquets is running circles around them, they have no clue how to deal with Olmo and Pedri moving between lines.

Jorginho has been completely anonymous, and both Verratti and Barella having poor matches thus far. Locatelli needs to come on for one of the first two, so we can press the Spanish midfield harder. They don’t have Xavi or Iniesta in there, there’s no reason we should be allowing them to dictate play so easily.
