He did many things right, but 1-did not play to his team’s strength with his boring approach, and 2-totally botched the PK shootout. Ventura probably would have done something similar or marginally worse if he had this England squad in disposal.
That shootout shit show is a fireable offense by itself.
P.s. I read somewhere it was Sako’s first ever senior penalty. If true it’s even worse than I thought.

Here in Lisbon I was quite impressed by all the cheering and later honking for Italy's success and win in this match. There's a sizable Italian expat community here -- many younger people who found more opportunities here than back home. But I think half was also a lot of people who just detested England and, in particular, English football fans. So that was a little hard to tell apart sometimes.
