Italy sucked balls in the second half,Del Piero could have helped Italy get a winner there, nobody capable of holding the ball at the final third,Italy truly cant use De Rossi at the back anymore,he needs to play in the mid,Motta is just not good enough, lazy at times, and rarely goes into tackles and trying to win balls.Pirlo looked lost and tried real hard to play balls to the forwards, only to have Cassano and Balo getting dispossessed..

I really hope Croatia wont play for a draw against the Spaniards..

I didn't follow him much in the league but he's been a total disaster thus far. Giac doesn't seem to know what he role is in the team.
He doesn't know how to keep the ball properly, like Prandelli would want. As a player, he's far more effective when he's running at full speed because he's very fast, and you put the ball in front of him. Or in the air, he's good in the air too.

Giaccherini was probably put in that role to counter Spain, but the poor guy has gone from a forward player to a midfielder in Juve, to a left wing back for Italy. Just abused because he works so hard. Not natural in this role at all, wouldn't surprise me to see Balzaretti back for Ireland,.

Is there a time when the Azzurri fail to win and they do't complain about a robbery? Juve is an Italian team, yet in 4/5 failures to win we don't blame the ref. With the Azzurri it's always the ref.

There's a difference between club and country to be fair.
Not a big difference,it just a point of view.
As long as you consider yourself a fan,and you feel like part of everything that is related to that sport club or country you love IMO it fine when you say "we" or "us".

For me it's exactly the same as saying "we" or "us" for Juve.

Forza Juve!
Forza Azzurri!

I am extremely confident that Spain will dispose of Croatia. There is no way they will settle for a draw.

Doesnt matter though, because Italy will lose 1-0 or draw 1-1 with Ireland.
Italy will beat Ireland, I'm sure about it but I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar scenario to the one happened in Euro 2004.

This team, even if advance, will be definitely out against physically more prepared teams. The whole team was running out of gas halfway through the 2nd half.

Prandelli's fault today.

1. he stopped attacking after the gol
2. he didn't make any real adjustments
3. he didn't sub Cassano until it was too late
4. the team seemed to run out of gas again, just like vs Spain.

The mighty Italy shouldn't put themselves in the position of waiting for a favor coming from Spain of all countries in the first place. :D
Having been their fan for many years, I can easily say that they are the only traditionally great team against whom every single team (say even Mongolia) has a chance to get a point.

Cassano, Balotelli, Motta, Giaccherini and Maggio did very bad today.. I would change back to 4-3-3 if Barzagli is realy for next game..

Di Natale Giovinco
Marchisio Pirlo De Rossi
Chiellini Bonucci Barzagli Abate
Buffon

International football matters to me when Iran is involved. Otherwise national teams are like clubs imo, I like Juve I like the Azzurri. By calling them "we", "us" I sure don't mean I'm Italian [:shifty:], it only means that I'm their fan.
