Much easier win than I expected.

Croatia was technically superior, physically matched the Irish and tactically outplayed them. Ireland weren't allowed any semi counters or space on the flanks to cross. On top of it, in many occasions they lost the air duels.

Deserved win for a disciplined and rather average Croatia, but very little can be taken from this match, except that Ireland are very poor.

I said technically superior, which we were. Just compare how the defenders played on the ground. Ours were passing the ball around and creating space. Yours were kicking the ball without looking where it might end. Then we had Modric to calm the game and distribute passes. You didn't have a passer.
Like I said, technically superior.
