SOOO, it's

Holland 6
Romania 2
Italy 1
France 1

So in the final round, Italy need to beat France, and hope that Holland will beat or draw with Romania, so it would look like this.

Holland 9 (or 7)
Italy 4
Romania 2 (or 3)
France 1

and if Holland win and Italy-France is a draw?

Holland 9
Romania 2
Italy 2
France 2

LOL! That would go to goal difference..

:xfinger: :xfinger: :xfinger:
Which would mean Romania is through.

What will happen if Holland win 3-0 over Romania and Italy draw 0-0 with France?
Now that would be something.

Holland has been such a beautiful thing to watch, humiliating the two reigning World Cup finalists in succession. (I guess France gets the slight edge in less humiliation after goal differential, given that they actually got on the scoresheet.)

Holland could still surely choke in the quarters or semis. But they're fun to watch now.

Now all we need to do is have Holland lose to Romania, thus sparking conspiracy theories and have something to talk about until the next tournament in the international boards on this forum. Andries will have a field day and people will be very angry.

Sounds like a good summer to me.

It's not that Holland is sooooooooo huge that doing these all. But France and Italy got very weak after the world cup, both of them have morons coaching them, We know how the qualification was very hard for both of them, their weaknesses were obvious, it just amazed me how the betting companies rated these two teams as favorites for the cup winner!

Holland is very good, but they are not going to win that. Germany will win, I know even thou they lost against you guys. But they are very organized and strong from defense to midfield and to attack!
Yeah, well, i can't say that i disagree. Everything is open till the very end and no matter how weak they are, even France or Italy could make it far if they somehow pass the group.
The Germans, the Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish...they all have equal chances, imo.
One bad day and you're out. Holland may play great for now but so did the Czechs in 2004 until one healthy and tough defense stopped them in the semis.
Croatia, Czech, Turkey, Sweden....they are weaker than the above mentioned teams but i won't exclude a surprise finalist coming from one of them. After all, one of Croatia, Turkey and Czech Republic will certainly play in the semis and then it's one single match and everything can happen.

Germany doesn't look that good and they're overrated.

France was always going to be crap after losing Zidane, anybody that knew the slightest about football knew that that, but of course some people on the news or on ESPN didn't and now their jaws are dropped at the thought France lost even though it was coming. Morons.

Italy has looked like crap as well but Holland... after these performances, there is no doubt they are the best side in these Euros thus far. The Dutch are simply stunning and they have been the greatest thus far.
Ofcourse they are the greatest! Results tell it all, but I think Holland are always unlucky, and these very attacking minded tactics would fuck them in an unexpected moment. Ofcourse I would love to see Attacking team like them win, but Germans will do what Italians were doing the past two decades, with their solid defense, and they have excellent attack and maybe midfield is not that great, but it is still good. I think one of those two teams will win it, but my prediction goes with Germans, due to their strength in defense comparing with the Dutch.

If there's one team to do it from your four choices... it's got to be Croatia. They have the technical skill, the team ability, and the history that proves they can win (history as in beating the "favorites" Germany).

In my opinion the Germans are the most balanced side, but I think Holland could rip them apart just like the other sides we've seen get embarrassed. The Germans are balanced, strong and tactically sound, but they lack creativity which will plague them in this tournament. It already has against Croatia.

Exactly. It's funny to watch people jockey behind favorites, and how that changes from one game day to the next.

One thing is for certain, IMO, it's not going to be who we think it's going to be. At least for most of us. :spliff:

I think Italy and France will draw, along with Romania against Holland.

I would put Spain just behind these two teams, and later Portugal. Portugal is overrated too imo, and quality wise, the other 3 are much better than Portugal. Alen I think there won't be any surprise for the rest of the teams, because these 3 or 4 are much much stronger, I can't see the others beat them. But yeah, like you said, one bad day would kill the team.

It's clear that Holland will play without their star players. Sneijder, vdV, Van Nistelrooy, Kuyt etc will be rested for sure.
The second team is still good (Huntelaar, Van Persie, maybe even Robben will play) and they can beat Romania, but the question is if they want not to lose.
Normally, noone wants to lose and i'm pretty sure the Dutch will go for the win, but you never know.

Whenever I remember who got the last title, I feel it is weird to have some predictions now.

And I forgot to add that it means that Romania will go through. The scenario is just right for this and I believe that Romania has the talent and will power to draw a second string Dutch side.

It's just the most plausible event.
