Actually, Del Piero created two shots on goal by himself, which is something the other Azzurri players couldn't do.

He did well, considering the circumstances.
He totally ballooned the second one though. Not that any other forward did any better today, but I'm just saying.

:lol2: at Jack's and Andy's comments here.
One huge looooooooooooooooool at Barzagli and even bigger looooooooooooooooooooooooooooool at the whole Italian defense.
Barzagli. :lol2: Still can't believe people rated him.

Thats the ability of the coaches although France might be last, players don't make the team its all about the coaching.

Donadoni
What?! The players DO make up the team under the coach's demands. It's not ALL Donadoni's fault... you have players out there who were once good but now suck and are under performing, like that idiot Zambrotta.

Domenech and Donadoni have about the same coaching ability.

In total:

The joke player of the match: Zambrotta.
He's a joke. A BIG joke.

Ambrosini? Barzagli? Panucci? Did Mr. Donadoni watch any football this season? Jeez, I know the Italians have a slow start in tournaments but this team was absolutely pathetic. If they can't drastically improve, they'll be back with ZERO points in the bag.

Credits go to Holland, though. beautiful game by the Dutch, some of these players where having the match of their lives. When did Boulahrouz learn to play football? Van Bronkhorst? oh and Engelaar: is that the same guy who played in Belgium, just a couple of seasons ago??? wow. I don't know what Van Basten put in their coffee this morning, but I want the same!!

A Legro - Chiellini partnership would've not conceeded three goals tonight. The whole Azzurri defense sucked. Not to mention Donadoni's stupid tactics by making the whole team play for the hopeless Luca Toni. It's a shame that a goalkeeper like Buffon had to be behind those two poor and retarded defenders, Matrix and Barzagli. Chiellini should start next match, alongside with Del Piero. Di Natale isn't NT material.

In all fairness, it also was not the Italy NT's day. Nothing would go in for them. But they did nothing to counter the Dutch assertion on the game.

The defensive performance was so poor that I can only attribute that to a complete lack of partnership and communication.

Eddie Johnson could have put in a better performance than Toni out there today.
Perhaps. :D

I wish we can get a coach that implies the 4-3-3 just like the Dutch do, I guarantee that this Juve side will rule with such tactics. We have just the right players for that.
My favorite formation is the 4-3-3 because it allows for creativity and movement like no other formation. I've been suggesting the 4-3-3 for Juventus for a number of years, starting with Capello's first season. When he decided to use it, we played better than we did with the straight 4-4-2, but he opted to abandon it. Same with Ranieri. People don't like it for some reason though, even though we are more suited to play it.

The problem with 4-3-3 is that you need very good fullbacks, that can run up and down the field. And I really don't want us playing 4-3-3 with Molinaro as LB :scared:

so here we got our problem ... a quite good leftback, but no consistant rightback ....

i would chose to play zebina in a 4-3-3 if he only was more consistant in his displays

I was thinking exactly the same thing, but I don't know who can we realistically sign.

Great job Donadoni. As soon as I saw the starting 11, I knew we were fucked. Terrible choices. To add insult to injury, he changed nothing at HT.

Ambrosini, Matrix and Panucci are worse than their subs sitting on the bench.

I also disagree with playing Camo in such an advanced role.
