Potential, shmotential. We don't have the potential, we never had. We are a far too individualistic society to ever succeed in team sports. That's why you guys win things with so-called lesser material. You have a teamspirit, we don't.

It'll be an interesting match to say the least though.

every major tournament holland is pipped to finally have their big break:groan:

as much as i'd love to see them win i'm tipping the czechs and france to reach the final, with italy and protugal making the semis.

It's going to be tough for any team to comfortably make it past the quarter finals, especially Italy, because if they qualify they'll either face the Czech Rep, the Germans, or the Dutch. Not exactly the best of draws is it? :undecide:

I dunno, when Martin announced that there'd be a permanent change in nicknames, I decided "Graham" was a tad boring, not that gray is the most original thing around either, -Fantastista- ;)

I hope the Dutch have been working on their penalties
Nope. Advocaat stated not to train on that with his players.

You can't simulate the circumstances of a do-or-die situation followed closely by millions of people on a training anyway. There's not really any point.

That was (sort of) a joke, because I know how silly it is to train for penalties, since they're a lottery... but considering they've been knocked out of every tournament for a decade on penalties, they have to be a tad worried if one of their games goes to penalties again :scared:

At first I thought the tournament opener was France-England but it's actually Portugal-Greece... I'm hoping that I don't have exams on June 14th so that I can stay home and go to a sports bar.

I hate malaysian media. regarding euro 04 all the magazines focused on beckham, figo and henry, with headlines such as

"will beckham lead england to glory?"

etc etc

nothing on czechs who have done a great job in qualifying and tipped as potential underdogs...

arrghhh

I have the feelings we will face france in the semi and we will kick their asses , and portgual in the final , and we will win in Penalties ... Buffon and Dp will be Shining in that Game !
i am so terribly afraid of those freaking penalties that i think i will die if we reach the penalties....

Graham isn't a boring name! They're so many different ways to pronounce it (grey-ham for instance) and it only contains two vowels. Plus, the H sandwiched between the two As gives it a classy look

I think your parents did amazingly well in naming you :thumb: :p ;) :D
