can anyone post the lineup with the subs?
Italia (4-4-1-1):
Buffon 6.5,
Panucci 6.5, Nesta 6, Cannavaro 5.5 (45' st Legrottaglie sv), Zambrotta 7.5,
Fiore 6 (38' st Oddo sv), Perrotta 6.5, Zanetti 6.5, Del Piero 7,
Totti 8,
Corradi 6.5 (40' st Delvecchio sv).
(12 Toldo, 15 Nervo, 16 Miccoli, 17 Tommasi).
All. Trapattoni 7.

What interests me is: After Cannavaro left to the bench, who took the Captain to wear? Del Piero? Wow, if it was him, the goal was the most important for him. First goal as the Captain of Azzurri!

yeah, I'm very happy now, especially because Del Piero scored. and the other things are coz Totti and DP are able to cooperate, let's hope Trap start them together more and more now.:D
I think there is no reason for Del Piero And Totti to don't start together from now on.

our Strike force would be something like this:

Camoranesi/Fiore=====Totti=====Del piero
================Vieri=============

back ups:

Del Piero ---> Di Vaio
Totti ----> Miccoli
Camoranesi -----> Fiore
Vieri -----> Corradi.

DP was captain for basically just one minute. He scored long before that so practically no, he wasn't a captain when he scored ;)

Breaking hearts is my job :D

Seriously, before the goal, DP was pretty much out of the game, and thanks to a perfect assist by Totti, he scored a really good goal (like early season DP).

I don't know why DP cannot be as consistent as much as Totti :(

Yes DP didn't do that mutch, just the goal. Totti schowed his class, but IMO he went down in the second part, also if the assist to DP was genial.
Zambrotta IMO the best of Italy with Totti. Also I liked Perrotta and Corradi (he did a really helpful match).

So now we beated twice Finland both times with 2-0 and we won all the lasts friendlyes. Looks like the wind is changing :) also if the WC memories are still close and is difficolt to be enthusiastic...

Yeah Zambrotta was by far the best player yesterday. He ran like 20km up and down the flanks, never gets tired, always on the go and reactive. And the 'disallowed goal' looked pretty neat; not sure if it was offside though, cos I didn't see any replay.

Now all depends from August's games. Serbia and Italy hosting Wales, are games that Wales must lose. Don't want Italy to end up playing England or another big gun to qualify for Euro 2004, as from the looks of it, most big guns are gonna come second!

why the hell are you groaning?!!

do you have a problem with me liking the puma jersey?!!

BTW, i also have the kappa white kit... it's awesome :thumb:
I guess only your opinion counts, right Majed ???!!

On to the game...

We we really that good, or are they really THAT BAD ?????

I thought that we gave them way too much room, and let them shoot much too often. If they could have shot the ball straight, we might have been in trouble.

If we play this way against teams like France, Holland, or even Wales, we won't win !!!!

Nothing special about the game. DP was playing a weird position and had to dig quite deep to get the ball at times. Although he managed to hold it well most of the times with intelligent passes. Totti didn't dive even once in the first half :eek: Zambrotta was awesome. Buffon did his job. Corradi was bothersome - Inzaghi like.

Tacchinardi doesn't play cos he doesn't want to ;) Him and Zanetti are more or less on the same level...tough to say who's better.
