Nina, I don't know if you saw the interview on TV, but if you didn't here is what happened : Vieri brandished an article written by one single journalist alledging that there had been a dispute between him and Buffon. He then said on the most arrogant tone that He - the 10 million euros a year serie A star - was a a better man than all of the journalists present at the press conference - clearly pointing them all with his finger. So he used this one article to offend an entire profession This confirms how the man is in dire need of a reality check.

He overreacted and he is famous of such behavious towards journalists,
but since they dig in his life all time, I understand him.
He cant take everything from them again and again.

Also level of that profession is questionable, cause many of them (not only journalists who live from digging in his dustbin) invide his privacy, when they should talk about him as a player, not man beyond the pitch.

Like the Danes and Swedes? What did they prove besides the fact that they can't BEAT us and could beat Bulgaria...we will prove the same thing.
Incubo, I support Italy not that it matters to you but am fed up with Trap & his lame ass tactics & the whinning thereafter. All I want to see is Italy go to a tournament & steam roll the opposition because I believe they can do that. It is demoralising and frustrating that such a talented team always has to struggle & somehow miraculously make it past the opening group. It stings when someone criticizes the azzurri but the team has to stand up and be counted.

Not that I know of... I saw it too and wondered..

Bebeto will always be the king of that celebration though, nobody can take it away from him
I think I figured it out:

A little girl named GABRIELA GATTUSO was born yesterday at 12am. Gennaro is currently in Italy with his family and will be back in Portugal tomorrow.

I know what u mean, but journalists are people too, and to point your finger at human beings and say you're better than them because your paycheck is fatter than theirs pisses me off

And usually that pisses me off too, and I wonder why I'm at Vieri's side this time, but I am.

Maybe cause I cant stand those vultures, sneaking in private lifes :undecide:

I would like to remind you that Vieri lives as much from the gossiping as the journalists do. Whenever a "stolen" picture of him and his girlfriend of the day appears on some trash publication like Oggi or Novella 2000 he receives a consistent financial bonus.

And the journalist in question this time hardly derailed the topic from football since he merely wrote an article questioning whether the team cohesion was as solid as it seemed.

Really? So I wonder, why he attacks them, when they want to make such pics.

I think that "this time" was like all the others for him.

btw: even if sth like that happened in the lockeroom, it should never go outside of that lockeroom, journalists shouldnt make it public, asking him about that on the press conference.

"Voi massacrate noi dalla mattina alla sera - prosegue l'attaccante -, inventate storie come queste. Come ho detto, finché si parla di calcio voi avete la vostra idea, io ho la mia, e andiamo avanti così."

Too bad that is not at all how he said it.

It was more along the lines of :

Basta". Si alza e lascia la stanza.

And that's how it was, I saw the interview.

Do you actually believe he gives a damn about the money?! He's full of it as it is! I bet he would gladly say no to that bonus for peaceful moments in his private life.

I'd say he might give a damn. His g/f Elisabetta Canalis was unknown before becoming Vieri's conquest. Once they break up she will be known as "Bobo's ex", like Liz Hurley is now making a living out of being "Hugh Grant's ex".

You omitted to post the first part of the interview. I think you should re-read it carefully. Or actually let me translate it for the benefit of all :

"This is the last time I am talking to you. Let me show you something, one of the many things that have been written (he then proceeds to exhibiting a page of the newspaper "Il Messaggero" titling "Azzurri, the tension is high" and which portrays him and Buffon). I want to tell you one thing : you can speak about the technical aspect. You can say that I play well or bad, that Im in good shape or not. that I score goals or miss them. That's not a problem, I never cared about it. I never gave a damn about your opinion as I don't live for you : I live for myself. I know when Im playing well and when Im not. But one thing is to offend the man, to offend the person (who the **** offended you and what's "the other thing", Bobby? - ndr) This I can't accept, because I am much more of a man than the whole of you put together. I am a lord ; you can't even imagine how much more of a lord I am than you."

Again : vai a lavorare, cafone.

Speaking of which, I shall do just that : get back to work.

I have to agree with Franco here. When I first read Nina's post I agreed with her statement that the Italian media is out of control. However, when I watched the interview in real time on Gazzetta.it and read about that article he holds up I quickly changed my mind.
Where is the violation of personal rights that Bobo is talking about? I think he choose the wrong example of the media taking personal shots. He also used a "lame ass" article to try to win these battle over good and evil. Its obviously his anger and frustration getting the better of him. I kept asking myself during the interview: what personal attack?? Why can't the journalists look at themselves in the mirror? Because they reported a conversation that MAY or MAY NOT have occured? This is the big violation of personal rights he is talking about? Give me a fvckin break Bobo.
Gattuso was once asked about his hard working style..his reply: "This is hard but its not real hard work..hard work is getting up at 6 am for 35 years or so to go make a living day after day..month after month..year after year....those are the people that work hard."

Dearest Bobo..forgive me if I don't shed any tears over how the evil journalists have caused you personal anguish which might affect an important decision you have to make in your life such as yellow or red highlights in your hair OR cause you stress making it hard for you to decide whether to buy the yellow or black Ferrari.

Gotta agree with Vitoria ... what does his gf have to do with this? :undecide:

Lord? :D More like a gentelman, but ok, not really the point :D I believe that there's much more behind his reaction than just this last story, it was probably buidling up in him and now he exploded.

P.S. Bobo..stop this crap. You have no idea how stressful it is for me in everyday life when you pull these idiotic stunts.

(That should shed some light on that issue which was floating around months ago)
