That's true, but it's as clear as mud on a brick wall that Zambrotta's attacking prowess far outweighs his defensive qualities.

His natural role is still a midfielder, and he was only placed at left back as a makeshift defender, where he wasn't half bad since he's such a versatile player. IMHO though, he's not that great a defender, and we even get caught out on occasion when Zambro goes up to attack, so it'd be much wiser to use his attacking ability and not waste his energy trying to make him defend. That way we have better defence, as well as utilising Zambro's attacking ability to the maximum potential

Don't be fooled by everything the coaches do Eop05, I mean Lippi thinks Tudor is a defensive midfielder for crying out loud.

And if you saw Zambro against Real Madrid, I don't see how anyone can say that he's not a winger

Italy will lose or tie to Sweden so the Bulgaria game will be a decisive one, just like in the last World Cup.

Italy will finish second, but in the quarterfinals hopefully we'll go through because there wont be no Byron Moreno here

DUDE....DONT TALK BULLSHIT IF U DONT KNOW. ZAMBRO WAS A FULL BACK FOR 2 YEARS. AND IT IS ESSENTIAL FOR HIM TO PLAY THAT POSITION. THE REASON THAT HE COULDNT GO FORWARD WAS BECAUSE IN THE 4.-2-3-1 FORAMTION U HAVE TO PLAY IN A FORWARDED POSITION OVERALL SO THAT FULL BACKS CAN ATTACK. THATS WHY ZAMBRO WAS HEL BEHIND BECAUSE THE MOMENT HE GOES TO MUCH AHEAD...THE DANES WOULD KILL ITALY IN THE RERUNS.

AND CASSANOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO????????
HE IS A ****INGGGGGGG GOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDD.
WHAT DO U MEAN HE PLAY BAD AT ROMA.
CASSANO SHOULD START IN THE FIRST LINEUP BECAUSE HES VERY FAST AND MUCH BETTER PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAN DEL PIERO. ITS NOT IF DEL PI PLAYS GOOD OR BAD....ITS ABOUT PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

HENRY AND FERNANDO TORRES SPOKE IN THE PRESS MEETING. AND BOTH SAID THAT ITALY WAS GOING TO WIN THE EURO 2004 AND THAT CASSANO WILL BE THE SURPRISE PLAYEER. SO U CAN IMAGINE HOW GOOD HE IS. BUT TRAPATTONI IS STUPID AND DOESNT MAKE HIM PLAY IN TH STARTING ELEVEN. BESIDES CHANGING THE DAMN FORMATION.
U CANT RELY ON DIFFERENT FORMATIONS JUST BECAUSE U PLAYED GOOD IN FRIENDLIES.

First of all "dude", turn off your caps lock key.

I don't care if he was a full-back for two years, that doesn't mean it's his best position. Tudor has been played as a defensive midfielder too, where he gets injured all the time and is basically shite. Thuram showed how good he can be as a centre-back, but has Lippi played him there? No. So don't go telling me that just because a coach plays a player in a certain position, he's ideal there.

Zambro's NATURAL POSITION is a right midfielder, and if you remember, he was switched to left back as a makeshift defender. You must be blind if you can't see that Zambro is a fockin excellent winger. He's got pace and awesome crossing ability, but his defensive skills aren't the best in the world. So why waste his energy by making him run back, when we could sign a new left back and give him the freedom to be an attacking player, thereby maximising his attacking potential?

I'm well aware of the reasons why he plays the position he does, as well as the formation he plays in. What I'm saying is that he doesn't HAVE TO be put in the left back role, forcing him to refrain from attacking in case they get hit on the counterattack. You're assuming that he should be placed at left-back and I'm asking him to be a fockin Roberto Carlos, which I'm not. All I ask is that he gets a fair go in the right midfield role which he's excelled at whenever played there
