feel sorry for NewCastle
i dont they have had the same problem for years yet they continually attempt to mask their deficiences at teh back by buying forwards and attacking midfielders.
they have been stuck with titus bramble for a couple of years now,yet go and buy damien duff and michael owen instead of building a solid back line.

i liked them when they were managed by keegan but it was evident tehn taht they needed to reinforce their reargaurd, another year passes and they still ahve not learned

it is crazy to have all those players and not do anything.. that sounds Real madrid style transfers, for me the first thing to do to build a new squad is to have a great defense first, then to build the offensive side.

exactly newcastle have always been teh other way around, sure it was entertaining to begin with but FFS get your defence sorted then buy the flair players. you will never win anything but mid-table obscurity if you cannot defend

My guess:

AZ Alkmar v Werder Bremen
Leverkusen v Osasuna
Sevilla v Tottenham
Espanyol v Benfica

Werder Bremen v Benfica
Tottenham v Osasuna

Werder Bremen v Tottenham

Good draw for Werder, but another Dutch team:(. But neither having Sevilla nor Tottenham before the final is great.

I'm still not too optimistic about them. I was even surprised when they beat Lens. My dream-final would be Werder v Leverkusen, as you can imagine. But I find it difficult to believe.
yeah they are a very inconsistent team. But i think they will go through, as they should have better quality overall. Also will depend on Kiessleng's performance as i think he is the player that could change things upfront.

Werder should be wary of AZ as they have a good coach on their bench and could provide the edge for them
