I wonder where Ola Toivonen, Rasmus Elm and Marcus Berg go from here. They all had a superb display and are my picks for players of the tournament. Actually, the only ones who come close are Bocchetti and Giovinco. Maybe Özil, didn't watch all of Germany's games but I heard he stood out.

u r talking to me?
what did he do? scored the luckiest goal on earth ?
Are you kidding?

I don't know about his displays at Hoffenheim so you might be right, but tonight the boy was impressive. So much power, energy, speed, great ball control.
And the goal wasn't lucky, come on now. It was a great shot from long distance. If the Italians score such goal you'll be talking differently.

balotelli is undoubtedly talented but he just isn't a team player at all - Italy would have been better off without him. He obviously thought he was too good to be there and spent the whole match trying to beat the whole German team on his own or falling over as soon as it looked like he'd lose the ball.

He's a complete dickhead who plays for himself first and the team second. It doesn't matter how talented he is, he doesn't deserve to represent his country playing like that
So is the loss solely (or Souly in this case) Soulja Boy's fault?

Meh,we didn't deserve to lose but fuck it,I'm still proud of the boys:touched:They-especially the defense- gave me a gleam of hope for the future.

BTW I'm disgusted by Ze Germans...you can probably count the real German players on one hand.

I'm not a big fan of Freshwater and especially Balotelli.

Italy's defense looked pretty good throughout the tournament, so that is promising for the Azzurri.
I like Balotelli as a player but he needs to grow up. He is the youngest starting member on the squad though and could easily be playing for the senior team with Santon (who should be a starter)

As for the defence they look composed and classy. Bocchetti would look great alongside Chiellini at Juve (even though they are both left footers). Do Roma own Andreolli?

I don't know if it were you but we have a saying back home that fits your reply pretty well.

    It translates as such:

Those who have a spear underneath their underarm it pokes them.

You might be that person or not but you definitely fit that saying pretty well.

I'm waiting for the fans who will complain that Germany shouldn't progress because they weren't good enough with the ball and looked lackluster.
    Aye, no doubt.

I don't think Italy made a chance from open play, though, so they aren't that hard done by.

Over the whole tournament, Italy's defensive unit, especially the CBs, were outstanding.

There may not be another Nesta about to appear, but these kids are pretty damn good,
