A couple weeks back we were hoping we'd win another 2 maybe 3 matches (vs fiorentina and one of the lyon matches)... that would be awesome and we'd be in pot 2 again!!

Now we are in pot 2 and we are hoping for pot 1, we are screaming because this team is too shitty to win the tournament and we are agreeing with the fact that even IF we win it, it would be shit because we are supposed to win the CL, because that is what this team is built for

Benfica would be a tricky opponent, but I'm not worried. We are the strongest team in this competition and hopefully we will secure Scudetto in two weeks so that we can focus all our energy on EL.

Benfica will win this competition even if in terms of quality we are definitely the strongest
As long as we dont draw Benfica we will reach the final

We can win this, but we have to improve drastically. I haven't really seen an accomplished/impressive performance from our team in Europe since our 3-0 dismantling of Chelsea last season. Beating Celtic was expected (we were very clinical and ruthless in that tie). The away game in Trabzon was also a good performance, but we were supposed to destroy them anyway, so it came as no surprise.

I've found a way to fuck Germany's coefficient next year. All three of Juve, Roma and Napoli end 3rd in their group to join three of Fiorentina/Inter/Milan/Parma/WhoevergetsELspot in League Europe. We flood that fucked up tournament and get pooooooooooooooooints.

I am happy more and more fans here are taking the EL seriously. I remember when we dumped in to EL people said we should not take this seriously, rate it second class and dunt mind going out.
Well I rate this more than the current Serie A and hopefully we be there in the final and win it to end our European drought. This win will clearly take away the pain of being dumped in the CL group stages. Cant wait for this guys to carry the EL.

If we don't win the EL, Portugal will be in 4th place at the beginning of next season

I think the season after, barring a horrible run in Europe from Italian teams, we will jump over them again.

None of this really matters (besides Serie a fans being embarrassed by the huge decline) as 4th to 6th in the coefficients are still assured of the same amount of teams in the CL.

This has been another cool story bro, brought to you by Bianconero_Aus

You can expect regular bashing of Serie A by the usual suspects when that happens, but it's obvious looking at those points that Italy will without any difficulty surpass Portugal next season, even if they win 4-5 points less than them. Actually these last 2 seasons have been very good for Italian clubs in Europe, 14 points they've managed to win, and before that 11 was maximum. It seems that Italian clubs benefit from having one participant less in CL.
