Schalke is not going to need to play the quali' games,as they look likely on finishing 3d.
We'll need a miracle to get in the 1st pot,but we should be happy to at least be in the 2nd finally.

Yeah, looks like we are in position for the 2nd pot already.

Btw,we're still having the ugly 10/11 & 11/12 numbers there with us...

Next year the 18pts drop,so we need a 20+ pts at least to make some progress.

Then we'll have those ugly numbers finally dropped in the next 2-3 years.
Next season our UEFA coefficient will be very low because of our seasons 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 when we got 8.314 and 2.271 points. We simply need to go through the group phase (and win as many games as possible) for the next two seasons. Then we will have a pretty decent coefficient and will be able to be in first pot. I don't see it happening next season or in 2015/2016 though. It looks like Juventus will be in the first seeded clubs in season 2016/2017 because of our disastrous campaigns in 2009/2010 and 2010/2011.

Damn, I hope we won't get Bayern or Real as first seeded team in our group and then Liverpool as third. We won't be able to fully rest our players for games like Cagliari or Sampdoria in Serie A. :D

I like Ranieri :snoop:

Of the coaches we had in Serie A since B and before Conte I liked him best. Seemed to have clear ideas and the respect of his players. Also afaik he did not want Diego here. Ah best of luck to you, tinkerman!

Mourinho: “If Juventus were to win the Europa League it would not be a real success for me,” he told a Press conference.

“Because that it is a team that is built to win the Champions League.”

You have to agree with him 100%, yes we should win the Europa because it should be easy for us, but we shouldn't consider it a big success, if we were some mediocre team like what the el is for then yea it would be a big succes but we're not, we need to win the cl in the next 2 seasons

I don't take that as an insult at all. He's complimenting us that we have a quality side and its unfortunate that we bowed out so soon.

Anyways in context this would be a success for us. Only a handful of years ago we were sent down to Serie B, we're growing and this another step before we can really compete for the CL.

Stop sugar-coating with us underachieving in the CL this season with this talk about us having to grow and taking steps talk man. Our squad is way good enough to pass through the group stages. We failed. Our realistic targets would be reach the Quarters and hopefully some luck the Semi's. We didn't build on last seasons experience.
