This should be used as training for future cup competitions, Juve has been bad at knockout competitions since forever. This and the Coppa. CL is all about 1 match knockouts and elimination, can't have slip ups. Fix the knockouts mentality!!

Also coefficient points, we have like 9 coefficient points this season. At this rate we'll be in pot 3 in group stages next season and more trouble, the following season will be worse until we wipe out the minimal points from 10/11 and 11/12 seasons.
Agreed.

Juve still have relatively little experience of European knockout football and Conte has all of two ties behind him

I think it would be very foolish if Juve were to dismiss the importance of the EL.

Chelsea received ~€9m from winning the competition, and in the end had 30.285 points in the UEFA ranking system (which was third highest toal behind the German clubs). Probably restored part of their reputation as well.

Even managing two competitions at the same time should be something Juve get used to, but I can worry.

Would be good to win it, even though I dislike the mediocrity of the competition.

I expect we will not put in a great effort, however, especially if Serie A remains closely contested.

Well this competition is definitely more prestigious than the Coppa Italia, that's for sure. And there are quite a few here would would like to win the Coppa Italia, so having a go at the EL shouldn't be seen as a catastrophe really.

It would be fun to play in that final at the Juventus Stadium, I'd really like to see that. And the money, although a far cry from the CL revenues, are decent enough (that is if we win the entire thing), so that's another incentive.

We definitely should take this competition seriously. Silverware is silverware you don't refuse to take another one to you trophy room if you have a chance. This will be a good experience for our players and Conte who could take it in a more relaxed way than CL. If I'm not mistaken the winner of this year EL gets a place in CL directly. It's another way to secure our presence in CL next season then.

Call me crazy but I'd take EL trophy ahead of Serie A probably (In theory we should fight in both competitions for as long as we can) because this club needs an European trophy the most. It could build some confidence ahead of next CL campaign.
