This is so disappointing. There is absolutely no reason for such mediocre performances in Europe. Lately we just seem to embarrass ourselves more and more. Big clubs don't want to win this cup my *&%$. I just hope that Italy start losing spots in Europe so they can actually send teams that can add to the competition. Now watch City thrash us in our backyard.

with steaua and liverpool's win combined we got 5 points, liverpool 7 and napoli 3. So we better not screw this up and hope that napoli won't win at utrecht

People still talking about co-efficients? That was a dead duck at the start of this season.

Seems quite a few Napoli fans got a kicking last night, many regular fans, there was an awful lot of trouble and several policemen and others needed to go to hospital. Not that you will find mention of it in the mainstream English media. So much for 'no revenge attacks' lol. Hopefully these teams don't meet again in the near future.

Hmmm, so what's the truth I wonder?
One clearly pro-English source, and we know where JuveJay stands in all this.

From a scouser who went to the game and saw it with her own eyes:

much trouble? seriously not seen anything like it, must have been what the 80's was like, seen groups of italians going upto police officers and hiding behind them! seen another italian who was in a bad way, got into the arkles and there was shit kicking off all over the place and we weren't allowed out, the bizzies were everywhere,! if I'd been italian I've have completely shit myself, they stood out like a sore thumb, anfield in the dark when its as moody as it was last night is not a good place to go, just looking on a few forums, there looks like a few have ended up in the local hospital and some journalist amongst others have been battered, a police officers got bottled, like I said...it was mental .

I think there was too many people pumped up for revenge from the first leg, the napoli fans should have been banned completely.
Bbc reporting 'no revenge attacks before match

not a peep out of our media! either they don't want to report it or merseyside police want to keep it quiet.
Merseyside police are already under pressure right now, especially because of this video: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...anley-park-working-as-normal-100252-27569805/

From what Im reading on the net, a few Napoli "scarfers" got attacked before and after the game.

Before the game about 200 Napoli Ultras smashed up a pub. And during/after the game groups of Napoli were charging coppers and local Liverpool hoodlums, looking for a fight.
