Germans all win convcingly, while the Italians all stuggle. Fantastic, goodbye fourth spot...

Give it ten years and all the star players will be playing in either the premier league, la liga or the german league, with Serie A carrying the same quality as the French.

Yaya Toure wary of Juventus' Europa League threat

Toure joined Man City from Barcelona in the summer
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure still believes Juventus are Europa League favourites despite the Blues topping Group A after the first game.

City recorded a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Salzburg in Austria while Juventus could only manage a 3-3 draw at home to Polish minnows Lech Poznan.

The Premier League side host the Italian giants in a fortnight and Toure insists is not underestimating them.

"I still feel Juventus are the favourites," admitted Toure.

Goals from David Silva and Jo helped City earn victory over Red Bull Salzburg in their opening Europa League group match.

But Juventus' evening was less straightforward as they found themselves two goals down to Poznan.

Then, after they had staged an impressive comeback to lead 3-2, the two-time European champions conceded in the final minutes as the visitors claimed a point.

"Juventus are a very big team and for that reason alone they deserve some respect," said Toure.

"We need to keep our concentration and work hard in training because that game is very important for us, if only because it is our first at home in this competition."

Victory in a fortnight would leave City perfectly placed to seal a spot in the knockout stages of the competition with four games still to go.

Not that Toure believes the Blues can take anything for granted.

"It is a good for us that Juventus drew," added the former Barcelona man.

"But when you see a team with that kind of standing drawing at home against one like Poznan, it makes you realise football these days is not so easy.

"Our aim is to win this group. We need to concentrate and work hard to achieve it."
