I'm using the Iniesta comparison, instead of Cesc, Pirlo or De Rossi, so that you won't tell me it's easier to pass to Messi and Henry than X and X.

Also, i am not saying Xavi is the better player than Iniesta, i rate Iniesta extremely highly. What i am saying is that Xavi is actually a better passer than Iniesta.

3) How exactly is it easier to find Messi and Henry??
When talking about movement in the final third, Barca are actually a bit lacking in that department imo. Their off the ball movement is brilliant all over the pitch, but when it comes to the final third, Barca's players are actually a bit reluctant to make runs behind the defense, which makes Xavi's task a bit harder actually. Players like Messi, Iniesta and even Eto'o sometimes just want the ball at their feet instead of making runs for Xavi behind the defense.

4) How are you saying Xavi didn't do much special? Do you know why Henry and Eto'o have so much goals? It's because of this man Xavi, i don't know how you can see him pass the ball around with ease, split defenses with his magical through balls and then say he isn't doing anything special.

1) Sorry if you didn't get this, but to support Azurri as a Juve fan is waaaay more logical than support Barca as a Juve fan. My mistake that i didn't clear up about what kind of fans am i talking about in Juventus forum.

2) In some of my posts i said that the thing i adore in football is the strikers, who are able to find space in penalty area, beat his opponent, score hard goals and stuff like Eto'O did yesterday. I didn't compare Xavi with other players, i tried to show that the other players in Barca system (yes, even Iniesta, who were played out of position in semis, but scored the only goal for his team) deserve as much praise. As everyone was praising just Xavi, i thought it's a bit wrong to praise only Xavi, where the other's had great season too (and some guys like Messi have got even greater season).

3) So to play through ball is easier than just to give it to Messi or Henry and hope that they will work something out? Interesting logic you got there, the stats, which Andy is constantly giving us, is coming either way.

4) As i said, i've watched only CL with Barca this year, and i've missed many of Xavi's magic in La Liga if the things you are saying is right, but i doubt that without Xavi but with Gleb for example Barca wouldn't have been able to win yesterday or against Chelsea/Bayern/whatever, as i didn't see his big impact in CL.

Well yes, his poor season can be attributed in part to the lack of quality around him. But even last year, when he was at his best. Xavi was still a better player. Fact of the matter is, that Xavi is the more consistent of the two right now. Which makes him the better player. Even last year, which was Cesc's best season to date, he wasn't as consistent as Xavi was. He just dropped it in the last 2 months of the season.

Fred, one is playing for the superior Spanish team of the last couple of years, one is playing for a team that's in transition for the last couple of years. It's not a fair comparison.

Xavi is the type of player that will always make the right pass, rarely complicate things. Iniesta on the other hand will do the unexpected, pull a pass through 4 defenders to the attackers feet. Xavi never, ever took my breath away, Iniesta and Fabregas did. They've got the inteligence, vision and skill, Xavi's got that all but to a lesser degree.
