GODDD I HATE ManUtd :wallbang: :wallbang: :wallbang:

a day before the CL quarterfinals draw Ser AleX Ferguson walks in Michel Platini's office.

SAF: Good Afternoon, Michel
MP: Oh, Bonjour Alex, how how are you, what brings you here?
SAF: Well just thought to drop by and have a look at the draw, how you managed to arrange with Malcolm..
MP: Ah, yes yes! Of course...Here's the list... How do you wish us to arrange it?
SAF: (looks at the teams list)..Well, this is how i figured it could work - give us Porto... so it doesnt look like we drew the weakest Villareal so people wont say we were lucky with a draw... there, and you can also arrange the return leg to be played in Porto so that it might look that we wont go through easily..and make sure that after that we play with some lesser team..
MP: hmmm... Bayern, perhaps Sir?
SAF: Ah no,no... those germans can really be pain in the ass sometimes.. better give us Villareal and Arsenal... they're inexperienced they willl also fight for the 4th place in the EPL and thus, they'll be exhausted...and still it wont look suspicious...
MP: All right Sir, no problem. I'll handle it...i'll even spread the word to the media how Porto is dangerous, a tough nut to crack and all that...
And the other part of the draw? Have any sugestions?
SAF: Doesnt really matter.. all of them teams are strong, they'll grow tired while they battle one another, get some yellow card etc... you just write down my part of the draw like i said and make sure it happens that way.
MP: Excelent Sir... All arangements have been made... You just say a word to Malcolm to transer the arranged amount on our account and so, i gues we'll see you tommorow in Nion... Au revoir
SAF: yes yes, O revoar..(closes the door) Stupid Frenchie...

The English press will claim that Platini used his influence to prevent an all prem final. If that was the case, the ref would not have gifted Chelsea a man advantage for the majority of the 2nd half.
I agree with your main point but i disagree about the "gift" part. That was a red card by the book for Abidal. There surely was contact from the back, minimal but enough to stop Anelka from being one on one with the keeper. If it happened in the box the ref might have forgiven Abidal and given him a yellow+penalty for Chelsea. But in that particular case the ref simply had to give him a red card.

first of all, I'm glad chelsea are out because they really showed themselves to be a bunch of classless cunts, Hiddink aside. Drogba, Ballack in particular. true blights on football. Drogba had a great opportunity, did very well, but fucked up the finish, and spent the rest of the match being a big fucking hulk of a cunt.

Barcelona did their usual thing, but didn't play particularly well. Eto'o is wasted on the wing, Busquets had a very bad game, and Alves was horrendous. Messi didn't have the space to do anything, lets be honest, when you have no time on the ball, no space, and are being closed down by 3 or 4 very good defenders, even a love-child of maradon and pele would be hard pressed to do anything. Toure did pretty well all things considered, but he's clearly not a dentral defender. Pique also played well, but definitely could have conceded a penalty for that handball.

Chelsea showed that they are a bunch of top athletes, not footballers. Hiddink took a rather cautious approach, but there's no denying that it worked, especially since they got that early wondergoal from Essien. After that, it was clear they were just going sit back and hoof it to drogba and anelka. and it worked, let's be honest. Barca don't have a truly physical presence anywhere, and it showed, chelsea dominated them physically. Hiddink realized that barca could cut through terry and alex if left exposed, and he set chelsea up to make sure that the space was never there.

They never actually played football though. Effective, yes, but frankly it's better for the game that barca, despite their slightly one-dimensional approach, go through to face manure. It's also clear that unless Barca come up with a plan B, they will always struggle against top english teams, even english teams like Liverpool and manu that actually play the ball (blah blah blah, anyone wathing liverpool this year will have realized that they've started to become a decent passing team, so shut the fuck up)

as for all those penalties :D

I think the handball by Pique could have definitely been given, and Alves also could have given away a penalty when he knocked down malouda (i think), but the other two would have been very harsh, and considering the moronic decision to send Abidal off, tough luck on chelsea, but that's life. i just hope that your club learns from Hiddink's class, since right now chelsea have the biggest collection of sour losers i've seen in a very long time. They played a dangerous game, basically letting barca keep the ball, and hoping that drogba's presence up top would be enough, and i'm glad that they got punished.

completely disagree, Anelka was barely touched, and WAS one on one with the goalie, but fell after basically tripping on himself

How exactly do you know this?
Anelka was in front of Abidal. The contact was from Abidal. In these situations the feet contact is always from the player that runs from behind.
It was a clear red card.
