That CL trophy in 2005 was sweet, and i thank Liverpool for that, but after May 2005 Liverpool won nothing in 4 seasons (ok, some English Cup in 2006). If you fail to win a trophy this year, and it looks that way, then Liverpool will have 3 absolutely trophyless seasons.
I see no reason why my team should be like Liverpool. Juve aren't winning, but we shouldn't aim to be like other teams who can't win anything.

Btw, Drogba >Torres.

You probably haven't watched Liverpool enough, but as a team and as a club, we've progressed immensely. Our youth academy has been completely revamped, our scouting network has been expanded tremendously, and we've slowly but surely built a far deeper and stronger squad. Even though we haven't won anything in the last two years, we're a lot more competitive in the CL for example than Juve at this point, despite the fact that we lost to the same team. and to imply that Liverpool are not a team that should be or expect to be winning trophies, well, that's completely wrong, despite the very long gap, Liverpool have basically the same expectations that all top teams (like Juve) have, to win the league and do well in Europe. and while times have changed, I can deal with 4 or 5 trophyless seasons if the club is clearly rebuilding itself to be one of the best in the world. then again, i'm more patient than most. for me one of the biggest differences is that Juve's management don't seem to have a plan in place, despite their talk, while Benitez clearly has a plan for the club.
as for drogba>torres, I would argue that when they both play well, they're very close, however, if you watched chelsea more often you'd realize that while torres sometimes has bad games, drogba simply disappears completely if he's unhappy with how his earl grey was steeped in the morning. comparing torres on an off-day to drogba at his bruising best, well, no shit drogba is better! and for the record, I definitely think that when is Drogba playing well, he's as good as anyone in the world.

well, I would say that Torres on his day is as impossible to stop as Drogba. Torres will make defenders look like idiots, where as Drogba will absolutely dominate them physically. the thing i don't like about drogba is that he only plays well when he's pampered, which of course, has no bearing when comparing how they play at their best

Drogba was the most arrogant player on the Chelsea side when I met them in DC. The guy just didn't want anything to do with Chelsea fans, let alone a Juve fan. He's a royal douchebag.

Second most arrogant player was Damien Duff who sat with a blank stare towards the fans on the bus, looking like he wanted to kill someone.

Only reason why Terry came out was because he knew some mates out behind the stadium in the small crowd. He was actually OK along with Lamps and Joe Cole, the latter of which Burke threatened the night before via hotel voicemail.

Must have been about three summers ago or so. One of the best times I've ever had.

:lol::lol::lol: are you serious?!
Yeah, we were able to find out where they were staying simply by calling around to the top hotels in DC. We called the Mandarin and asked for various people including a Cole, sure enough the operator said oh yes, we have a Joe and Charlton Cole, so Burke patched through to Joe's room. Burke said he knows he's been fucking Glenn Johnson, we don't do that shit here, and if you touch Freddy Adu we're gonna have to knife you.

We didn't think Joey got the message but when Burke asked him after the match, "did you get a dodgy voicemail last night?", the guy responded by saying, "was that you mate?"

Best plot ever. :lol2:

He seemed sort of stunned that we were RIGHT THERE in front of him at first, as if he didn't know if we were serious, but then Burke said he was only joking and things cooled down. Still hilarious though.
