No, I'm talking about BATE as if they're Banja Luka. Zenit can cost us points, but to qualify ahead of us? No way.
The Zenith from last year might have, but they haven't been performing on that level yet this season.
If they get a boost in performance, they surely are a team to fear, else, we should have no problems with them.

And who knows, maybe Real will be third.

I couldn't be happier with Real Madrid. To me Juventus-Real Madrid is one of the best games there is in football. As I once heard a Dutch commentator say: it's nice that you can go and see Barcelona-Roma with your poor man's outfit still on, but if you want to see Juventus-Real Madrid a tux is required.

That is so true, the clash between us and Madrid oozes class. I don't care about recent forms of either team, the encounter is more presigious than any other fotball game.

it's a classic. the game in 98 made me cry and then being able to beat them twice in such a dramatic fashion was quite enjoyable

Nicely put, all three of you+the Dutch commentator.

I was so happy when i saw us in Real's group. Prestige, class and even rivalry aside, i was also happy due to footballing reasons.
Every team in pot 1 was extremely strong and it didn't make much difference, quality wise, who will we get. But Real was more attractive to us due to these reasons :
1. Getting Real in the group meant that we can't get Atletico from pot 4
2. We're awful against the English while the Italian teams are to Real what the English teams are to us. We proved to be too much for them in the last two occasions, Roma eliminated them last year by beating them twice. Even the off form Lazio were a pain in the ass for them last year. Pandev was the only one performing well and even that was enough for Lazio to take a 2:2 and lose 3:1 in Madrid with Rocchi missing a penalty in the last minute. This leads me to #3...
3. .... There is a healthy rivalry between the ITA and ESP teams. There always has been. Real are a team that brings so many memories, pleasant ones, for many of our players. Real will motivate our players like no other team. Real are the representatives of Spain like Juve represent Italian football. This will also be Spain vs Italy and Chiellini, Del Piero, Camoranesi and especially Buffon have a point to prove after the EURO elimination.

This makes me believe that our players will not disappoint against Real just like they didn't disappoint against Inter last year. We'll see unhuman motivation and efforts when we'll play Real and even though they have more quality than us (as did Inter last year) i'm sure we'll get great results both in Torino and Madrid.

Totaly agree and though I rather hate Madrid, the image of captains DP and Raul shaking hands at match start is a pic of footballing gentlemen epitomized

I think we'll play on neutral ground vs BATE Borisov, but unfortunately it will still be played in Belarus, in Minsk.
Bate's stadium is very small, for 5 000 people, and from what i could see yesterday it hardly qualifies for a stadium that could host CL matches.
indeed. anderlecht played there in the qualifiers, you could see cars driving on the roads from inside the stadium.
