That's alright. I've played matches in -5 and it doesn't affect the play all that much. When it gets towards -10 however, the body gets more and more affected and breathing becomes more difficult.

I'm affraid 9 points in the first 3 matches will be needed. 6 from the opening 2 is a must and if we don't do it then i fear we won't pass the group.
It would probably come down to the last match day and depending on the number of points the teams have, we obviously have the advantage.

I have little illusion to our chances: I will be happy to scrape through, but the longer we last will have a detrimental effect on our league position, I fear, as our squad could become threadbare.

Russian premier league ends 22 nov. according to goalzz.com. Figure yourself if its advantage or disadvantage. (we play them 25 nov)
Damn, i forgot about the EURO.
Because of the european championships this summer they didn't play in Russia from May 15 till July 5.
That's why it will end later than usual.

You can go up pretty fast and easy enough,
but staying there, is where the real challenge begins!

Zenit is not a surprise team anymore, Europe knows the players, more than they know ours. They might flop, as many other teams before them did.

They chose not to cash in and keep their players, they are still very capable and we need to pay attention, we should not underestimate them and let them underestimate us.
Our jersey is "heavier" than theirs, we need to use this "weight ", to bury them...

And if we fail to beat them i can see you being one of the first to start labeling ranieri and co ;)

It was a good test to take on artmedia during the qualifiers. I expect a similar clash with bate but all much more difficult. Bate, already past midway through their season are already top and for me their key man is their goalkeeper veremko, he made some outstanding saves against levski and anderlecht to help his side get through.

Zenit dont really need any introduction and showing any lack of respect wont come either. For them holding onto arshavin says a lot about their ambition although im suprisised they are currently 6th in the league. For me Tymoschuk is their key man, the engine and player who we need to cut down. It will be interesting how they fair against man utd tomorrow...

Theres nothing that tastes sweeter than beating real (other than beating inter :d). I really hope our guys can go out there and pull out 6 points outta them. Culturally real have always been attacking but when you consider the likes of sergio ramos, pepe and yes cana. Theres nothing more than the word "tactic" comes to mind in masterminding a victory over them. Either way im glad we got these scums, its a great way to enlighten our name once again in europe.

Forza Juve :flag3:

Ok it's time to express my opinion on our group seriously, no doomed and no FUCK SUCKO bullshit.

We have one really easy team but to be frank there are always surprises in the group stage. Teams can make mistakes but not many mistakes and our group is tricky.

1- Madrid is a classic CL opponent and this gives the team an extra motivation to show that we are not a second rate team but still one of the top teams in Europe. I was happy that we drew them, it's a real test to show our worth and I have a strong feeling that we will be up to par in both legs, this Juve side has showed class against big opponents.

2- Zenit is the real obstacle here and what makes it more of an obstacle is that we face them first. This means that Madrid will be able to study them against us where we will have to face an unknown opponent and this is usually tricky. The advantage is that we play at home, the disadvantage is that Chiellini will not be ready for the game. As Alen and Andy said this game is somehow the most important and the three points are really crucial.

3- BATE are the surprise and they can keep on surprising and we play them first on their turf. They would probably lose their first game against Madrid and would want to compensate for that in front of their audience against a giant like Juventus. This game is might end up to be the most important game in the group stages. If we win it then our chances to qualify will increase drastically. Hopefully by that time we would have an injury free squad that has started to tick in.

Chances to top the group: 23%
Chances to get the second place: 57%
Chances to get the third place: 18%
Chances to get the fourth spot: 2%
