Good football from Porto. I didn't expect such display TBH. Looking forward to the game at Dragao. How ironic for the so called CR7.

Poor first half performance, Villareal absolutely played us of the park. Ibagaza, Rossi and especially Senna were playing like they were in a training session. Our central mids were to blame for not closing down Senna, there was no way in fuck Almunia would have kept that one out. Luckily for us, Villareal aren't a clinical team and Fabianski made some brilliant saves.

The second half was a huge improvement, Song, Toure, Adebayor, Cesc and Clichy were all extremely poor in the first, but came back stronger in the second. Arsene must have really influenced the team at halftime.

That was a well taken goal by Ade today after an absolutely brilliant Cesc longball. God i love the little Spaniard.

Ade did his job well in the second, constantly hassling Villareals defense. The biggest dissapointment was Nasri though, he goes missing too many times for my liking and he really needs to take more risks instead of the easy safe layoff. Nasri should work on his consistency as this is just not acceptable.

Kudos to Villareal and Pellegrini though, they played better than we did. But thats football for you, you have to take your chances.

So is Adebayor still not more than a stinking pile of shit?

"Well taken". Ahhh, come on Fred. That is an absolutely brilliant piece of football by the big man.

Did you watch the game? He was awful in the first half believe me. Up until his goal he was absolute garbage. After the goal though, he was obviously boosted and he became such a hassle.

But no mate, really i'm yet to be fully convinced by him. The only good thing about him, is his understanding with Cesc. All 3 of Ade's goals this week were created by the little wizard.

But ya, the goal was a "brilliant piece of football" :p

I planned on watching Villareal-Arsenal today actually but when I saw Porto scored in the fourth minute I had to go for that one. So no, but I am fully aware of Adebayor's dodgy touch. He does deliver goals though. And he is a constant factor for defenders to be aware of with his size, speed and work rate. You have plenty of players with perfect ball control and slick moves, but you need someone who will put it in the back of the net. It appears Ade is that guy for you. You were struggeling quite a bit with scoring goals during his absence if I am not mistaken.

old arsenal is back..maybe they can catch the final with all players injured-free

Old Arsenal?

I would think not, we were outplayed by both Villareal and Roma away, Thank god we haven't really met a strong team till now, because with the way we play away in the CL we'd be ripped to shreds. Actually we were ripped to shreds in the first half today, but i meant ripped to shreds in terms of conceding goals.

Either we step up in defense soon, or some team is seriously going to fuck us over. Don't let our recent results fool you.

He does deliver goals after he misses a handful of easy chances, and it seems like he wants to break Inzaghi's record in offsides. I think Ade can improve, and the first step towards improvement is knowing your limitations. what i hate most about Ade is the way he drifts to the wings most of the time, when we actually need him in the box. For some reason he thinks he's Henry or Kanu.

And we were struggling for goals when he was available too, the biggest reason was a lack of creativity with Rosicky and Cesc out injured. But Arshavin made sure that wasn't the case anymore

Well yeah, you depend a lot on Cesc. Maybe too much sometimes.

On Adebayor, let's just end this by agreeing that at the very least he is better than Bendtner.

You and I are better than Bentdner mate :p

But no honestly, Ade is a decent player really but an extremely frustrating one at that too.

i meant that the list of injured players is starting to grow thin...and arsenal can make the best team untill the final..
