Roma and milan are one thing but cheering for inter would make me sick. I want ITALIAN teams to do well. Inter and italian don't belong in the same sentence....

I was wondering,
if next year Inter buy Abbiatti, Molinaro, Bianchi, Gamberini and Semioli and if they play them in the first team, will you cheer for Inter in the CL ?

is having a bad season, and i dont like the fact that premier league is way infront. I want my favourite team and my fav football league to be the best in the world. This will not be reality if italy keep failing in europe.
Thats why i shout forza italy, even in cl.

Yes
It was just an example.
I was only wondering if the guys who support Milan and Roma only because they are Italian will support Inter if they have the 5 players i mentioned+Materazzi in their starting line-up.
After all, such Inter team consisted of 6 Italians + Zlatan, Vieira, Cambiasso, Figo and Cordoba will be more Italian than Roma's team from yesterday consisted of 5 Italians, 5 Brasilians and 1 French guy.

So, will the ones who support Milan only because they are Italian support Inter if they have 6 Italians with Materazzi and Molinaro among them ?

Imagine Materazzi making a leg breaking tackle in last minute, the ref says play on, Cambiasso passes the ball to the left to Molinaro who makes a great cross to Zlatan and then Zlatan scores a wonder goal and starts kissing Inter's jersey while Moratti is smiling from the stands and Inter win the CL final against Bayern Munich with this goal.
Will you guys celebrate this ? Will you celebrate the win of this Italian team ?

And if you won't, then why not ? Why did you celebrate Milan's win last year and you won't celebrate this ?

I don't really care about the betterment of Italian football. I just like Milan better than Inter. Probably because playing in the San Siro sounds better than playing in the Guiseppe Meazza.

I think a lot of people want the ebst for Italian football just because it's also what's good for Juve, but hate Inter so much that they can make an exception and wish Inter gets knocked out. At least that's how I feel. And although I want Serie A to be the best again, it felt good to see Milan get knocked out on Tuesday.

No, I still wouldn't cheer for them. They're inter, they're our biggest rivals, I'll always have no respect for them. Supporting Roma and milan is different, I have respect for both teams. They actually have players that have played on the italian NT and have given their all. I respect that.

imo when people want the other Italian teams to do well in the CL is to cover up the terrible state that Serie A is in. So when people come and say "hey your league is corrupt, your fans are hyper violent!!!" the Serie A fanboys can come and say " oh but Italians teams are doing well in the CL so who cares" which is a poor counter argument and does not take away from the fact that the problems stated are true and that nothing has been done to solve them.

I won't be so sure that they'll be humiliated again.
The 7:1 spanking from last year was a great lesson for the Romanisti.
They do posses a great quality, they play modern and attractive football and i believe they finally have the experience needed to do good in CL.
Totti, Perrotta and De Rossi already won a world cup, Giuly has great CL experience with Monaco and Barcelona, Panucci is an old wolf who already won the CL, Mancini, Vucinic, Aquilani and Pizarro have the required quality.
All of them have tough matches behind them from serie A and CL and they know how to play against a good opponent. If only the defense was a little better they'd have been one of the greatest favourites to win the Cup.

Now the draw will be very important for Roma. If they get one of Fener or Schalke and eliminate them (which is expected) then everything can happen till the end.
How will things stand in serie A and EPL can be another factor. We all remember what happened last year when Milan (who weren't fighting for anything and were resting their players for CL) played against injury troubled Manchester United (who were fighting for the EPL trophy).

And of course, luck will be the third factor. Everyone needs it in order to win the CL.
Of course ,I think that the luck is the main factor beside quality.
You got the point there expressing your opinion about their team and each player separately.
But Alen,do not forget their un consist form they have, for example they win a game by 4-0 and then they lose Siena 3-0.

I think Roma would do better if they came up against a bigger team like Chelsea or Barcelona. They'd be expected to beat a team like Fener or Schalke, but this is where they end up becoming complacent.Roma are their own enemies and they have a tendency to seld destruct every now and then. The chances of this happening against a bigger team might be less because of the low complacency level.

On a strictly one to one basis,i think Roma,if they play to their potential, can beat all the remaining teams in the competition other than Manchester United. But the question remains wether they can play to their potential for 5 more European nights.

Well I think Serie A fans are no better than EPL fans, infact I think they are even worse than them, more biased also. I don't particulary hate Roma so much and their win went well along with me but if I have to be honest, I like Real Madrid much more as a club. But there is something in this Forum that makes me to cheer against the Italian teams because a lot of the members want Italian teams to qualifty so they could arrogantly brag and make fun of the EPL fans about how Italy is the best footballing country in the world and that Serie A will alway be on higher level than EPL, which at the moment is not true and it's not going to change unless big problems are solved in Italy.

One more thing, even if I would want an Italian team to go far this season and represent Italy, that team would be Inter because they are the REAL Italian representatives as they are Serie A CHAMPIONS, like it or not. Milan should not have even paticipated this season or the season before and I am so glad they they got their asses handed to them by a team who is completely superior to them at the moment - ARSENAL.

Vaffanculo Milan!!!

Aha, thanks.
This actually confirms what i thought all this time.
"I don't want Inter to win in Europe because they aren't Italian" is just a convinient excuse that is ment to cover the real reason why people don't like Inter to win in Europe.
If someone wants the best for Italian football and is a real azzuri fan, he'll cheer for Inter in Europe, no matter what. Especially if Inter have 6 Italians as in my example. But obviously that's not the case here so i'll have to wonder how big calcio fans are some of you guys !?

Agreed, Alen. I think that argument about Inter not being Italian is quite pathetic as Inter, like I said in my previous post, is the real Italian representative. Is it not this competition called Champions League? Well, Inter is a champion. Champion of Serie A. Serie A is Italian league. Inter is Italian team. I think some of these people are not even Calcio fans, they are just pretenders or I like to call them EPL haters.....

I don't want Italian teams to win the CL just for the sake of Juve though. Reach the semis perhaps. But yes, I'd cheer for Milan if they'd play Liverpool, because I like them better. And I cheered for Roma when they played Madrid, because I don't like Real and because my brother is an AS Roma fan. I don't see any harm in that.
