Yeah, he will do his magical trademark dives.
And Totti will do his magical trademark spits.

I don´t know who to single out from Roma cause a lot of them played really well like De Rossi, Mancini, Totti and Taddei, Mexes and Chivu. I guess I could say Perrotta and Wilhelmsson were a little weaker than others. If I gotta go for MOM, it was Vucinic who made the difference in 2nd half.

From Man Utd IMO the best were Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Carrick and Rooney.

I was one of the people who doubted Roma's chances in the match, and i am extremley glad that i got proven wrong. They were the better team, and they created more chances than Roma.Totti had an average game, but he's capable of much more. The Man of the match for me was Chivu. He was outstanding in defence.

Ronaldo didnt own Roma. Not even close. He had a few neat dribbles here and there, but thats about it.I think it would be fair to say that Roma owned him.And i am SO SO SO SO happy that the arrogant red haired cunt got sent off.

Manchester United are on the backfoot for the next match IMO.I dont know if Vidic will be back by then, but they'll be missing Scholes who is such an important part of their team.Roma will miss Perrotta too,but im hoping to see Aquilani in his place.

I was watching the match on Supersports3,and Andy Gray came across as the most biased bastard ever to have spoken infront of a microphone. But he does that everytime.I hope Roma shut his big fat mouth for good in the second leg.

Roma's D looked shaky and unstable at best. Their style almost made them fall out of organization. They really need some leadership at the back, and Panucci isn't it.

They played well from the start in terms of keeping the pressure on, but they were also up one man for most of the game. Their biggest mistake was taking the foot off the gas not long after halftime. Say what you will about Ronaldo's play, but he made dangerous runs through Roma's rather shaky defensive midfield. He was probably ManU's most effective player on the night. Scholes was utter crap and arguably almost helped ManU by staying off the pitch!

I think Taddei is an ass, but he had a good match. But best of all the bunch, IMO, and even better than Chivu, was probably Mancini (not a big surprise there). He had a direct hand in setting up both goals.

ManU notched an away goal and only a one goal down with 10 men. I hardly see that has putting them on the backfoot. If anything, I would award them with the moral victory of the more favorable result. Roma really should have come away with a 3-1 under the circumstances. My bet is they will rue that in a week, though they're well over their heads in the CL quarterfinals without a huge dose of luck in their favor.

Im biased:p

Manchester United have more injury worries than Roma though.Their best defender is out.If he comes back then that would be a big boost.I dont know if Neville is injured or suspensed, but if its the former, then they have 3first team regulars out of the next game.2-1 results are always seemingly easy, but i dont think they are.One goal from Roma next week, and Manchester United could be out.

Bravo Roma.

Spalletti introduced a tough and intelligent Roma side this evening. Soo many young boys out there played with their hearts, thats what I admire about this game, you don't fear your opponent play with your heart and mind, you're there!!!

Whoever thinks C. Ronaldo will destroy Roma in Old Trafford is mistaken, Roma showed how tough it is for the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney and Giggs to put their show or performe, though Ronaldo escaped one time.

Chivu is superb, no wonder why I have always liked this guy and wanted to see him playing with us. Him and Mexes will give these bastards a tough 90min football.
I found this to be a good post. I was sitting with the same feelings yesterday. I just couldn't put them into words.

To sum up I think Manchester are done in CL now.

i dont think its leadership but more the lack of concentration over the 90mins. Also Panucci is a big negative to the defence, Tonetto is a big lose for them as if it was him and casseti then it would've been more stable.

i agree about taking their foot of the pedal, and i saw the disappointment on spalletti's face when they did that.

since i first saw the tie i thought that roma were too soft to go through and imo manure will go through.I saw them a lot this season and not many teams could halt their passing game(inter, valencia, milan etc) but they didn't get the results. Spalletti still can't get his men to put the ball in the back net, and that will always bite them in the ass

Roma was a bit naieve in the second half. They tried to go all out, which led to erratic shooting and errors in their orginisation and cost them the goal against. Roma should've remained calm and play man utd of the pitch with more caution. Roma could've, and maybe should've, won 3-0. Still think their team is great though.

I hope Manchester will show Totti who he is really in the second match...
And what is he?
I hope he shows Manchester fans what they really are(C**ts)
And Totti will do his magical trademark spits.

Spit or Dive?? Which one annoys the opposition most?? Which one takes away all the work the opposition did?

mourinho  he said after the game that valencia only had one chanse  valencia was playing really well in the first half, chelsea created 3-4 chanses in the entire match and the most dangerous one in the 81 minute from the corner were sheva tried a bicycle kick.

I am going with valencia in the second leg, i actually saw the game preview before and commentators expected a 2:0 win for chelsea. :disagree:

next week could be very interesting, chelsea, manu and milan all out?

That is the biggest problem for italian teams. Milan did the same mistake, they were all over Bayern but then they've just stepped back what Bayern used in the best way and scored a goal. The sam mistake did Real Madrid at Bernabeu agains Bayern, and Valenica also did mistake when they went on defensive against Chelsea.
