btw anyone else saw the incident in the second half, after the goal by drogba, when jouaquin was chasing lampard who passed the ball to cech who took it with his arms! wasnt that supposed to be a freekick in the penatlybox for valencia, goalkeeper cant take a backpass from his own player with hands right????
No foul?
Backpass to the goalie
Should've been a foul(who would miss from such a close range?)

I think Terry should've gotten a penalty later on in the game(I'm not sure though)

Its up to the referee's call...I think he considered it unintentional backpass (or the chelsea player was trying to kick the ball away from danger)...
For me, It looked like a backpass ...but Its somehow hard to call ! :smoke:

I was supporting Valencia yesterday

About liking Chelsea, i guess the main reason i like Chelsea is "Mourinho". The guy is a great manager n he's a comedian(2 jobs at the same time:eyebrows: )

- I also like Chelsea since i hate both Man Utd and Arsenal. I will support anyone competing with them(Man Utd/Arsenal) for the title.

- I like Drogba, Essien, and Carvalho.

These are the only reasons i could think of at the moment...

TBH, Manchester in their last decade till now haven't had a player such as Totti. So It's pretty hard. I'd take Totti's quality over Fergusons men anytime anyday.
:pint:
+rep(I wanna piss off the Totti haters)
Is Aquilani ready to play? They could replace Perrotta with him maybe...
Not sure Spalleti would risk playing him
I think Pizarro will play next match, the guy was great against AC Milan.

Totti is a fantastic player -- one of the best in the world when his head is in the game but he's not being a fool. That said, he is his own self-destructive worst enemy.

Pizarro sounds like the right choice in place of Perrotta. A lot of the rematch will hinge on how much of ManU's "shallow" bench is needed given the nursing of so many injuries.

But Roma proved last night that they can contain Ronaldo if needed. While he did make some good runs and was the most effective offensive option for ManU, Roma made some great stops that sent Ronaldo running the opposite direction as the ball. :lol2: If Ronaldo gets a little more help on the opposite flank, with Roma's questionable D-line, it could spell trouble.

I still give ManU the slight edge in this tie, but it's close and a lot hinges on ManU's health.

I think the great thing about the Roma-Manchester United tie is that goals appear to be on the cards.I dont think it would end 0-0.Both teams are very good going forward, and it should be an exciting match.Im going for a 3-2 to Manchester United in the 2nd leg, with Roma going through on away goals.

I think the way Roma played yesterday is how we should be playing in the CL. We're too often laid back; Roma were aggressive from the get-go.

I felt so bad for Wilhelmsson; as soon as he got substituted out Vucinic scored :p

Watching Roma last night was a foreign concept for most juventini. I can't remember the last time we really took a game to a quality opponent rather than sitting back and letting the thing develop first.

I didn't. Wilhelmsson was really Roma's version of Scholes last night: a player in over his head who needed to leave the pitch. :faq1:
