Lyon is absolutely toying with Madrid from all angles. The score could have easily been 5-0 by now.

Cannavaro's performance in the first half makes Boumsong look like a Maldini. :howler:
Absolutely this game should have been 6-0 at half time! Cassilas is doing a tremendous job.

Seeing players like Mc Manus (?) and Caldewell(?) play on the one side, and Rio and Brown, on the other, suddenly Boumsong & Kovac doesnt look as bad as once thought. Not all partnership can be as good as Thuram - Canna.:D

I want to see the look on his face. That clueless one like when we were getting owned in the library.
He can add Real to his list of Champions League failures after Roma & Juventus.

His Juventus team only looked good at this stage because they faced Bayern Munich twice. But Capello has shown he is tactially exposed away in Europe against anyone. Not to mention Real's European away record in the last couple of years is appalling.

Anyway on to tonight...

1) Man Utd showed their weaknesses - it won't be long before Chelsea overcome them in the EPL again.
2) Arsenal had a nice match-up against Hamburg and without Henry weren't too bad. Despite Rosicky's goal he is a problem and it's alarming Ljungberg was benched - will he be phased out as Pires was?
3) Lyon are going to be impressive again and it will all come down to the knockouts; who they draw and if they can be lucky? Houllier using Fred instead of Carew is a start to him managing this team correctly though.
4) Milan have a joke of a group made even easier with Lille not winning away at Anderlecht. Usual flexing of muscles by Ancelotti in fielding an unusual XI resting certain players.
