I'm confused. Toldo and Fontana being Italian, what exactly did you mean by that?
Well, if you pardon an old guy with fading memories for a moment, I dug around through some old Calcio 2000s this morning and I found the specifics:
On March 2, 2005 Inter defeated Lecce 2-1. In the 26th minute, Ze Maria subbed in for Favalli, marking the first time in Serie A history that all 11 on the pitch were not Italian.
Boy did I mangle that one.
But hey -- Ze Maria, Favalli, Toldo, Fontana... what's the difference. It's all futile for Inter anyway.
