who knows, chelsea wants eto as well, is barcelona desperate for money?

eto is 4 years younger than henry or might we see messi departure instead? i understand that larsson leaves but imo ronaldinho, eto, messi, henry are all starting players.

Henry's a better player than Eto'o but I don't see Barca selling the latter. The Cameroonian has contributed too much over the past two seasons for Rijkaard and co to show him the door.

yes place, but is henry gona be a subs benchwarmer like larsson? if that is how things will go then its a waste of money, even henry himself wont like that. his too good for bench and he needs to play to be in form.

I did not say Henry will be a benchwarmer, did I? There will be lots of rotation though.

no you didnt, and i wasnt argueing with your reply, i am just wondering where those players will play, larsson was a great subs striker for barca, as today he almoust scored after coming in and his in the end of his football career, but henry still has lot of years to come.

Rotation my arse. If it is the CL final tomorrow - and only 3 will play so there will be a 'benchwarmer'. The signing of Henry would be just an egotistical one for Laporta and an even worse decision then any 'Galactico' signing Florentino Perez did with the only exception which is if they offload Eto'o.

Saying that they won't and if they did it would be an economically poor decision despite how little I rate the Cameroon striker.

Anyway I must be the only person who sees Henry staying at Arsenal.

No you are not the only one, I share the same feeling and a friend of mine too. What I said was just speculation on a rotation that might happen IF Barcelona acquire him. Personally I see him as king with Arsenal, if he has the least of intelligence, he will not leave this throne and go somewhere else.

What's your say about Fu winning? ;)

There will be a special dedication in the betting thread :D. I think we used all our luck in that encounter and there was none left for Milan tonight.

personally i dont see even why barca needs a striker anyway. giuly has turned out to be a very good signing for barca, then barca have messi, ronaldinho and eto.

The only possible thing might be that giuly is gona be the bench striker and henry will take his place in starting XI, but i just dont see this eto-henry duo playing well together.

Maybe it will happen like this: henry to barca, eto to chelsea for lot of cash. Or who knows whats going on in the lockerrooms.

Barca do need a striker, just not a high-profile star like Henry. They need someone similar to Larsson; a quality player who won't mind spending a lot of time on the bench.

Well they have Maxi Lopez, who supposedly is/was a great talent when they bought. He hasn't played much though.

Maxi is a good player but in those times i rated Cavenaghi higher than him. Maxi Lopez is stronger tho. Both are talented anyways.

Henry to barcelona?, well the rumours are that Eto will leave if henry comes, as i dont see all this guys playing together... with larsson, giuly and Maxi lopez (all first class players) eating bench a la Zalayeta. Thi will create just havoc for the players and for rikkard himself.

Plus, it would be like someone said, very selfish from laporta to have tha bunch of stars there fighting for a place, when in the end they dont needed to do things that way.

One of the most entertaining football games I have seen tonight, despite the scoreline of 0 - 0, and Barcelona fighting like no tomorrow.

I will say that Dida did a fantastic job on that game, making crucial saves to deny Barcelona, or else the scoreline will be ugly. Too bad Belletti failed to make the most of the situation from an Etoo pass and Larsson fired straight to Dida, or else the game would have been sealed. Etoo was denied twice

But congrats to the midfield trio of Deco, Iniesta and Edmilson. These 3 players fought hard for the ball and maintained possession in every way possible to ensure that Barcelona does make it to the finals. These 3 players work hard to supply balls to the forward section and also helped out in defence. In the last minutes, even Etoo rushed back to defend. Ronaldino only used tricks that r useful for the team and he is usually marked by 2 players. Certainly a pleasing game to watch. Today I have witnessed a disciplined Barcelona side that is fighting all the way to the finals. They truly deserved to go to the finals.

and again class is shown on both sides, yes you guys can see that Seedorf has a large mouth, but he actually gives friendly hugs and pulls up players when they r down. This is what I like about this game. And the number of bookings also go well with it.

Shevchenko's goal is actually allowed, but according to Merk, the FK was taken too quickly. Not sure about that, but a decision like that changes the game a lot. About Etoo being not 1 of the world's finest strikers, come on. he is no Roy Makaay in this case. IMO he did enough when he was in Mallorca and it is natural to be nervous when players play at such a big game. At least Etoo does have his positive contributions. I actually predicted a stalemate at a game like this becos Dida has a lot of work to do.

But the good news is Xavi is back in training, I think he will be in the finals barring injury. Their midfield trio is too good to be ignored, and if xavis does step back into the pitch, Arsenal will have a harder time
