On one hand I want Milan to be humiliated and not win anything, yet I couldn't bear to see them defeated in the CL final by an English team, let alone Liverpool. I don't know how on earth us fans of calcio will be able to justify that one.

I've already seen ridiculous threads over at xtratime forums where people are saying that because the 5th team in England is in the CL final, the Premiership is the best in the world. Imagine the disgrace if Liverpool beat both Juve and Milan on the way to the Champions League :yuck:

it's not really a shame, because Liverpool have made it this far by their defence, ie they have not played like an EPL team. they have played like a combination of tough defence lead by carragher and an opportunistic offence. you notice that the two teams that most embody the EPL mantra, manu and arsenal, both went out rather quickly

Basically, Liverpool is playing like Greece in Euro 2004...

Liverpool is much more interesting to watch, especially when Alonso and Garcia play. but, yeah, they certainly can't match Milan's fluidity or anything

I'll say that Garcia is more interesting than anyone on last year's Greek NT. But beyond him, it's been incredibly workmanlike...

Liverpool are just lucky, the only reason they are in the final is becuse the pope is dead, it seems like everytime the pope dies they win it, lets hope the new pope lives for a very long long time :D

That's true; the last time the Pope died Liverpool won the European Cup. They also won it the year Prince Charles got married.

History to repeat itself?
