That article hits the nail right on the head. He is hardly one of the best midfielders in the world at the moment and he still has a lot of learning to do. Results matter.

inter can play on wednesday since milan play on tuesday

There has to be at least a 2 day difference between matches played on the same pitch. Wat I dont get is why they didnt sort it out so that one team plays away and the other at home.

Gerrard is not one of the top midfielders in the world.
Yes he is. Regardless of your opinions about the EPL Gerrard is a class player. He has a good shot, a good pass, he can take set pieces, his workrate is good, he's a leader in every sense of the word and IMO he's up there with Terry and Lampard as one of the best English players in the game right now.

he IS....
though I think most of English players are overrated but why are you against ALL of them Andy?
What are you talking about? I think Lampard and SWP are very good players. Frankie is one of the world's top midfielders, but not Gerrard at this point in time.

The group winners are supposed to have the advantage of playing the second leg of their tie at home so I guess it would have been unfair to ask one of the two Milanese teams to play the deciding game away from home.

Yes, I agree, but they could have worked it out between themselves, instead of having to play the match a week later. Oh well, more football to watch.

I'm going to miss the Chelsea - Barca clash because of football practise but I should be home in time to catch the Milan - Manure match delayed. Kudos to ESPN for showing two delayed games as well as a live one on both Tuesday and Wednesday :thumb:

How did the UEFA Cup come into the equation? I don't see how having a CL game on the same day as UEFA Cup matches would have disrupted anything. Anyways, it doesn't really matter.

You are extremely lucky Stuart. Here in the US, ESPN only shows one Champions League match per week, usually involving English teams.
