I still don't understand why Rijkaard refused, and still refuses, to use Rustu Recber. I know he said he would not use Rustu until he learned espanol, but I don't think it was a good decision by Frank. Rustu was worthy of a starting role, but he still sits on the bench in the favor of a mistake-prone youngster.
If am not mistaken he didn't used him because he was non-eu citizen.and a lot of non-eu s were there in the team + everytime he got the chance he performed so bad.rustu was a great keeper once but not anymore i hate to say that although I like his personality

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

W.Sneijder -18- you had the patience to sit and write, calculate etc all this thing??

i wouldn't even bother to THINK that! :wallbang:

we all know juve will qualify first...

no need to do aaaaaalllllll this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well he likes to think of all the possible combinations of our CL group. Since we have 9 points, which is a very good start, we need a minumum 13 points to advance to the 2nd phase. There r many combinations involved which r tedious. I tried to calculate and in the end I got a headache.

Well. Iniesta's shot that hit the bar was certainly a heart stopper. Lost my voice after taht for shouting out of a bit of amazement and amusement. But in the end, it's all good. I like Valencia, but I want Italian teams to do well this time.

And bloody hell, Milan's defence is tight. We all know that, but it's still a bit scary to watch it. But Barca showed some real wonderful skills in that game, I'd say it was a very interesting game. And Pippo looks pissed he got substituted.

Is it just me, or does Barca tend to attack from the centre? I think they should have utilized the right side of the pitch more, although technically Milan are good in all right, centre and left part of defence, the sides are easier to break than the centre.

yes barca tends to attack from the centre but remember giuly is out and he plays on the right.deco is strictly central and ronaldinoho is of course all over the place.

our defence is VERY tight too.
maybe milan's scarey to watch on pitch,
but our defence is scary to watch the numbers....
NUMBER of goals WE conceded, and the number of gals they did.

so,we are more scary ;)

Right now our defence is better than Milan's but that advantage could be erased by the return of Stam. Alot of the goals that Milan have conceded have been due to poor aerial defending or set piece defending and Stam's physical superiority will help them in those departments.

I wouldn't give them the edge just yet though, as Maldini can be beaten for pace and Cafu is sure to be caught out as he ventures forward on his forays.

Me neither. We know Stam is a solid defender and all, but to what extent will he strengthen their defense?

it's not like Barca played particularly well against Milan, so I think we could have shut them out if they weren't playing at their best level. If Barca are on top of their game though, no amount of good defending will be able to stop them :scared:
