Well, Carroll sure is a good keeper. Sir Alex is just an idiot starting him in front of Tim Howard, and NOW we should see Timmy getting another chance.

Wonderful match by Milan, everything went according to plan. Pirlo and co controlled the middle of the park, basically shutting down Manure with the amount of possession the Rossoneri had. Milan had to slow down the match enough to their liking, the wonderful Italian pace of play, and once they obtained control of the match Manure could not break through the Milan defense. Sir Alex wanted his team to play quick and strike on the counter attacks, but Milan is just too skilled for that sort of play.

Seedorf shot the ball right at Carroll and he fumbled it into the path of Crespo, giving Milan the only goal of the match. Milan basically had the better run of play, while Manure did miss some good chances.

Pirlo was the best player on the pitch today, and he surely is Milan's most important player. His passing range is supurb, his touch is immaculate, his positioning is sound, and he never runs out of ideas with the ball. What a player..

Nesta was right up there with Pirlo for the post match awards, as the #13 showed everyone that he is indeed the best defender in the world. Rooney and Giggs could not do anything out there because of Nesta.

Right now my bet is that Milan will win the Champions League. They have brilliant players in defense to shut down almost anyone, and their creativity gives them the power to control the match and bring it to the opposition. No team matches up with them at the moment. Nobody.

Very true, very true...........

And they did it without Sheva, their goal-scoring machine

I was thinking the exact same thing Andy. (about the CL)

Roy keane was actually pretty awesome today. Didnt miss a beat, but he should stay further down the field as he isnt great in attack.

Yeah, Barca signed him from River Plate in January. Looks like he and Eto'o have got a good understanding of each other; Eto'o set up Maxi Lopez and the youngster returned the favour by creating Eto'o's goal.
From the highlights I saw he really impressed me. I was surprised to even see Maxi play out there tonight.

If it was not for Drogba being foolishly sent off tonight Chelsea probaby would have won the match. Before Didier was sent off Chelsea was controlling the match and it looked like they might have scored again. Once they went down to ten men Chelsea became flustered and Barca was able to turn the whole scoreline around. Hopefully Barca will be able to score an away goal at Stamford Bridge, because if they do, I believe they will be able to progress to Quarterfinals, as Chelsea's attack has not been all that great, but yet effective.

Tommy Smith is a jerk off. It's so obvious he wants Manure to win. He talked about how Crespo said something like "London lacks a true footballing heart" or something of the sort, and Smith said that Crespo is a "South American," followed by the words "no comment." Shite commentator.

No, I don't think he's a racist. I just think he is a completely biased commentator who wants or implies the best for British football. He also tends to the American audience by builidng up Manure.

Even on ESPN News after the match all they talked about is Manure, nothing about how good Milan was tonight. Fvcking worthless.
