everybody knows that CL is more difficult than international football. i think capello would do well at england because he's not afraid to leave out the big names, and if he doesn't have a player's respect, then he doesn't play. that is one of the reasons for england's failure other than tactical/technical issues. and obviously he will also improve the tactical area. i would actually be afraid to play an england team coached by capello.

I don't really care, it is still a very loose term to say that Lippi adapted to wherever he's been. That was the whole point.
under lippi we played all sorts of formations over the years, 4-4-2 at one stage 4-3-3 and even 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-1-2. at the wc lippi too adapted his tactics and to the circumstances and type of opponent. Lippi is open minded, where by capello is stubborn in his selections and decisions

mcclaren left out the big name players and look where it got them.

jack you want lippi to take over, so Fa would sack him after 2010, while ancelotti replaces donadoni after 08, and milan would have one less option?

or what?

tbh glen hoddle is ideal for england, in his last spell under england they were prob at their best in decades, and the only england manager to have resigned or been sacked for getting his team to perform on the pitch.

Stephan, I don't really want to say why I want Lippi to take charge of the English NT.

Badass, Lippi adapted well with Juventus and with the Italian NT, this does not mean he adapts easily anywhere just like you mentioned. Your term was loose, just admit it and stop being biased.

not biased, lippi is better at adapting his style to the current climate than capello, i would of thought 2 years of disaster at the cl with juventus was enough to make that aware to you.

That's much better. Earlier you said "Lippi adapts easily everywhere". Now you can continue.

that's my point. the media and the fans made that decision for him, they wanted them out. it didn't take much courage from him to drop them. capello wouldn't give a damn who they wanted/ didn't want. and he would never have picked bent.
well wasnt it capello who was forced to play beckham in the end aswell after initially dropping him due to a public outcry?

as far as i know, it was capello who dropped just because he felt like, but nobody forced him play beckham. he just realised that he needed to if he wanted to win.

Ha! can you imgine an Ashely Cole- Capello "meeting"? :eyebrows: :D
sounds like a mardi gras show to me

well i always saw it as the fans saw that beckham was the missing link in madrid's lack of success and capello finally opened his eyes to it and took it up. Anyhow if he was drop anyone it would most likely be lampard, or at least from the starting line up

it's capello. but i wish it was shearer, that would make me laugh so hard. he's such a dumbass.
why is shearer a dumbass exaclty ?

How's that?? Capello is a huge fan of playing 4-4-2 system old fashion one with long balls.

Nothing will change in Englands style of play. Crouch will be upfront, owen will be benched, and he'll play with 2 DM which will decrease thier chances of attacking and he'll make sure to put a player who's good in crosses.
Yet they'll always win in a very strange way...
