Only if the billionaire owners back out/stop buying. They fund the whole show now, they are the ones circulating money, paying wages, bringing top players which increases interest and tv money spread throughout the league. As long as those guys are there and interested the league won't have problems in general.

The irony with Serie A is that Juve are actually spending more from an owner perspective in the poorer league, big markets and two €100m+ bailouts. It's not just the collapse of Parma and Lazio as money clubs, everyone is spending less, but you've taken Berlusconi, Moratti and Cragnotti away as big spenders, so the whole league suffers.

Yeah. Tanzi, Cecchi Gori and Napoli's old administration as well were big spenders. No wonder Italian clubs used to perform so well in all European competitions.

Hopefully these rich fat cats one day take their money out of the English game.

Oscar's agent, Carlos Meinberg, told Brazilian paper Terra: "Chelsea did offer €25m (£19.8m) but there is still no agreement between the clubs.

"That may happen in the next few days. Oscar's other agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, will travel to England to finalise the remaining details.

"Tottenham also made an offer, but he should accept Chelsea's offer as there is more exposure there."
so 25m euros it is then

Just reading up on the Terry case. Interesting ideals as to what is and isn't considered racist in England.
Turns out I was right as to what Terry said exactly to Ferdinand, he didn't deny it, just says that he was responding sarcastically to Ferdinand because he had just accused him of saying those things.

He basically says [earlier]"fuck off, fuck off" [then]"yeah, yeah...hey Anton, you fucking black cunt, fucking knobhead"

You can see the second part clearly here, cockney is not hard to lip read:

Because Ashley Cole walks in front of him at that moment there was debate whether he said 'I didn't call you a...' (I dint call ya :D) or 'hey Anton you...' (hey Anton ya). It always looked like he said 'hey Anton' because of the way he shaped his mouth as he was saying the words before Cole passed.

According to what I read today it was the latter, and Terry said he was saying it sarcastically, taking the piss because Ferdinand misheard him.

Might well be, might not. When you can afford to piss money away it doesn't really matter.

In terms of FFP Chelsea had a turnover of £222m in 2011. Their current wage bill is £191m and rising. They have now spent £67m on three players in this transfer window. I wonder how it all works.
Chelsea raping this transfer market . And they are still after Hulk and JoJo. They easily pay 30 mil for a player.

I heard the new TV deal for EPL is extremely huge. Anyone have more information on this ?
