He uses a variation of that with the 3rd mid of the midfield three taking a more attacking position to link up the play between the mids and the forwards. It's in between a 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1. I'm sure Clint will play anywhere from in the hole to all along the forward line.

That is a fair price for Dempsey. I wouldn't imagine he has years left at his current performance level, but should have at least 2-3.
