That's they key, Ferguson is showing good results even when he had opponent like Arsenal with Vieira, Henry, Pires, Adams etc. who was better team in that period than United

Now Man Utd is good damn machine, especially when it comes to attack players
I see Man Utd being like Milan were last season.

They have a decent defence and very strong attack, and that will be enough for them to hoover up loads of points against the smaller, weaker teams.

However, their CM is weak, just like Milan's was, and that is likely to be exposed when they play good teams, and it's pretty hard to win games if you get dominated in midfield.

They are not weak, oh my goodness, Scholes, Carrick, Fletcher are all have more experience in EPL than Chelsea, MC or arsenal midfielders, experience is helping a lot, their weakest zone is GK definitely

Who knows how much Fletcher will play? I don't think anyone does at this point.

Carrick and Scholes don't have the mobility to cope against good teams - that was shown time and again last season.

VP, Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez - CF, ST, SS
Young, Giggs, Nani - LM/LW
Fletcher, Anderson, Carrick, Scholes, Kagawa, Cleverley - DM/CM/AM
Nani, Valencia - RM/RW
Evra - LB
Vidic, Ferdinand, Jones, Evans, Smalling - CB
Fabio, Evans, Smalling - RB
GK - De Gea

And you are still tellin' me that squad of the 02/03 season had better roster?

I never rated high Van Persie, never, but in the last season he showed that is vital in finishing as fuck so i can't wait to see their tandem with Rooney
RVP had that season in the circumstances he faced at Arsenal - there is a very good chance he may well under-perform under the circumstances he'd face at ManU (it's a simple matter of suitability as well as adaptability on his part, really). I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he fails to meet the expectations at ManU.

This being said, I think ManU is the favourite to win the EPL not because they are particularly strong (I think they are unballanced, mind you) but because their direct opponents - City and Chelski - would not be as strong and consistent as a team, as one would tend to think given their talented rosters.

More or less, what Red's saying ... only I think he is underestimating the "Mancio" factor at City :)

Chelsea is building new team, they are not contenders on trophy definitely (only on paper)

RVP is some buy for United. Not sure a striker was their top priority but when someone like that becomes available you just have to get him!

Ye they should give you lifetime contract instead:sergio:

Possession is 9/10ths of the law. Just ask Barca. :seven:

I'd take RVN in his prime over any single forward in the EPL today.
And then crap in his mouth.

Judas motherfucker, never expected myself to hate anyone more than Cashley, but this mercenary takes the cake. I hope he breaks his fucking leg, and in advance, fuck anyone who thinks i went too far.

Abou Diaby should break him in two before he goes to that slimy club.

I never wished injury on anyone, not even money grabbing Cashley, but this ungrateful mercenary deserves the worst really. He should have had the audacity to move to a non EPL squad after all we've done for him. I wish he gets injured and never plays again.

Me too.

Come on Fred, just let it all out.

It really doesn't matter what you say or what you don't anyway.

I know I posted a laughing smiley on here when Valencia broke his leg and it didn't bother me one bit. (they all gave me shit at the time, so please don't bother now).

Why would anyone give Fred shit? He's not wrong in saying Van Persie is a piece of shit. Going to United was low on his part. Really low. Now everyone except United fans are hoping he flops. Yeah, what he did was worse than A.Cole.
