I disagree with most of the guys here, I think Arsenal's strategy is pretty smart actually.

Arsene Wenger is creating value in his players and keeps selling them for Huge profits + as long as he's on charge of Arsenal, they will "always" qualify for the CL every season. I said that in the last few seasons when many thought they will not make it to the CL.

Arsenal's board are smart enough to realize that they can never challenge the likes of Chelsea and City with their spendings therefore it's almost impossible to win trophies, so what can they realistically do ? Keep doing what they do best (making profit in selling their players plus qualifying every season for the CL) maybe one day the likes of City and Chelsea will stop spending and Arsenal will have a shot again for the title.
Manure effectively challenges for the title every season without spending as much as city or us.(even though we hadn't spent much for 2-4 seasons until we signed Torres)

Why can't Arsenal? I mean Wilshit, crapsey, dong, arteta and co aren't miles behind frigging Michael Carrick, Anderson (lol), cleverley and Scholes.

They have an extremely talented set of wingers and a great attacker in Rooney but Arsenal has RVP who was better than Rooney anyway.

In defense, Wio cuntinand barely gets a game nowadays, Vidic missed half season but the fuckers still managed to get points with the retard twins at fullbacks, el Negrito who isn't even a decent left back nowadays, Smalling, friggin Phil Jones and Evans.

Arsenal has Vermaelen, koscielny, Sagna (ok he got injured) Andre santos, Gibbs. They aren't world beaters but they aren't miles behind the defense above.

Oh but Arsenal keep selling their senior players, the ones United tend to keep who are ultimately the ones who lift up the team spirit and contribute lots when it comes to team mentality in tough times and providing that never say die attitude. And of course, that dolt AF (fuck the sir part).

:delpiero:

Exactly. This bullshit about "Arsenal can't compete with the money spent by big clubs bla bla bla" is VERY misleading. Clearly the fault of their board and the coach. Wenger has lost the plot in all honesty.

Arsenal's problem is their lack of football mentality. They're a very profitable club, but their board couldn't care less about winning trophies.
Exactly. The board has demonstrated time and time again, that winning trophies is not a priority for them. Being a successful business that is financially responsible is what their priority is. The fans need to do something about it, because Wenger is content and the board are over the moon with the current scenario.

Thing is, if they keep selling their best pieces and inadequately replacing them, they could even fail to qualify for CL in future seasons.
Very possible. Next season will be a huge challenge if(when?) RVP leaves and we don't adequately replace him.
