Lol, just saw a replay.

Not even Hilario would have gifted the shelvey goal.

Terry was awful and people were slipping all over the pitch wtf

Essien managed to score again.. In his own net. how The mighty has fallen, really bad player nowadays, was lucky not to get a red card.

Sturridge has regressed this second half of the season, if he carries this form into next season he should go. Frustrating player, wants to dribble past 5 players instead of playing a clear cut pass.

Malouda is not even a football player anymore.

Romeu is in bad form but he's young and has been injured for a bit.

Ferreira is funny, not a decent player anymore.

Ivanovic had a very bad game but he's been stellar all season so meh.

Bertrand was annoying too, his defending was woeful and was horrible in attack.

Torres was all alone upfront and god help you if you're going to be feed by Malouda. Unlucky to hit the post.

Ramires wasn't good, despite the goal.

When your best option is Bosingwa you know your team is fucked.

In overall, we just showed how weak our depth is, which is the main reason we're so fucked up in the league (not as much as pool though).

This team is nothing without Lampard, Mata, and Drogba. Čech is huge too.

Suárez is awesome.

We didn't manage to create much, but your defense is still prone to moments of madness. Ivanovic and Torres both hit the crossbar while Lukaku missed a sitter.

This game could have easily finished 5-4 lol.

All in all, you played the best match and are worthy winners, congrats. :D

I could see that.

Somehow they managed to be 3rd or 4th in the league. When they're on, they're on.

Rumor has it Torres is really depressed at Chelsea and might ask to leave this summer.

I actually think he will stay, he's picking up form and he's playing with more confidence.

Anyway, one of Drogba and Torres will go imo. If DD goes (man that would suck so much :() Torres will most probably stay and vice-versa.

Marotta to get him on loan with option to buy for 20 million euros :donedeal:
Perhaps, but I think he wants to go back to his homeland.

Who knows. Torres had a real nice 98 minutes of footie. I don't know if it translates to a season of form, but we'll see.

Then again there's the rumor that we could strike a Torres - Falcao swap with ATM but it's just speculation.

I think that if Torres gets to win the CL on may 19, he would have already won practically everything, bar the PL so he may want to go back to Madrid, play with little pressure and enjoy his football, perhaps.

He was our best player against Newcastle too, it's just that our midfield is crap when Mata doesn't play.

Speaking of Mata, he's the only one who understands Torres's game.

And I could see us building the team around those two for next season, we're in a transition season as of now and we need to chop and change a lot.

Surprising result last night, ha. Some of Chelsea's bench were sitting their smiling and laughing during the game. Terry had probably the worst 45 mins of his entire career, looked like he was on drowsy pills. Just shows how you can't go into a game without full focus.

As for Liverpool, played well, can't really judge them too much. Well, Henderson, Agger and Shelvey scored :D

I'm not saying Liverpool didn't play well last night, but the whole final score is being blown out of proportion.
It was Chelsea's B team vs. Liverpool's strongest line-up available, barring Gerrard. Not a single Chelsea player who was on the pitch is playing in Munich.
Turnbull, the stand in GK, hadn't played in the league in over 2 years. Paulo at right back has played about 5 games in as many seasons in the PL (Same as Bertrand at left back). Romeu had been frozen out since AVB left, Essien has been awful all season, Malouda is a monster who shouldn't be a footballer anymore, and Studge and Torres were just their usual.

Basically guys - Don't be fooled. It wasn't an amazing game or anything. And also, Suarez, again, I don't see why people want him here :/ Yes, he caused trouble, but didn't score... against a B team. No assists either.
