Well, you can't really go wrong when you cover all the possibilities the way you did when you once said that City will win the trophy and then you said that they won't win the trophy.

What matters is the first expectation, the second was just an admittance of being wrong, not an expectation, but then it might turn out that i wasn't wrong after all, if City go on to win the EPL. Which is still extremely difficult mind you, they still have to travel to in form Newcastle after the game against United.

On a Chelsea forum last night someone mentioned that, while RDM has produced excellent results in cup and European contests, he has only won one match in the league. I didn't check if that was true or not, mind you.

I like RDM, I'm rooting for him to do that double. Either way I would like to see him stay on with the club. But I think it all hinges on the Champs League final. Win and he's in.

Di Matteo aldo picked up a completely demotivated team that lacked the depth to compete in 3 fronts successfully anyway. Specially taking into account that CL is a really demanding competition.

He won against Wigan, tied with spurs fulham and Arsenal and lost against city in the league.

Though he's done a very good job undeniably, especially in the CL, there is the risk of it just being a case of players relieved that AVB was gone, and more motivated to play under a coach they know in Di Matteo, lets not forget that Dalglish did very well when he first took charge of Liverpool in the second half of the season a couple of years ago.

Arguably as well Chelsea players this season looked better in CL under AVB as well, more motivated. In saying that I still think it would be a mistake letting Di Matteo go.

Not really, AVB drew with Genk, lost to Leverkusen and if we hadn't won against Valencia we wouldn't have qualified.

They need to get in a coach who will oversee the transition to a new generation of players.
