could well be, especially if they don't win today or don't beat OM.

Had Chelsea done this a couple or so weeks earlier, they could have gotten Hiddink, who seems well-liked by the Chelsea players. Now, they basically have to hope they make the CL next year.
From what I gather, some of the senior players were just trying to do whatever the fuck they wanted at the club anyway, so he didn't have much shot without getting rid of them (which should have happened last summer, surely?). And to add to that, Roman is retarded and Di Matteo might be a bit of a pushover until they appoint someone. Pissing money away on managerial changes.

I hope Villas Boas doesn't go to Inter, think he'd suit Italy if given the right resources.

The ref fucked Spurs over as well, wasn't just their own inefficiency. Plus with Bale and Parker out they lost a lot of drive. As soon as Man Utd scored it was as obvious as the sun rising that they would win, but it was a lucky escape from the first half.

Must be annoying when Young has a game where he scores like that, he hasn't done it for a while. I thought Spurs had toughened up this year but really they are just as soft as they have been for decades, play football and like to get slapped around when it gets tough.

Predictable two horse race.

United will win the league again :howler:
They surely won't. Have a look at their fixtures in the second half of the season, you'll see what i mean. They've had the easier part of the fixtures so far this season.

City will probably win it.
Don't they all play the same teams?

Or do you mean that they have the tougher teams away from home? That won't matter much. United will win a lot of points again, even with this pathetic team of theirs. It's gonna be up to City if they'll give United a fight or they'll choke.
 obviously.

They play away to Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and City in the second half of the season.

City play Arsenal away, but play hosts to Chelsea, United, Tottenham and Liverpool. Keeping in mind that they beat the latter 3 away from home already.
It won't matter much. Or at least not as much as United playing the smaller teams at home at the expense of the tougher away schedule. You'll see that they'll be strong till the end. If they don't win it, they'll fight for it until the final round(s).
Fred :klin:

United survived the tough schedule and they lost only 2 of the possible 12 pts against Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Now they only have City and piss easy teams (WBA, Wolves, Fulham, Blackburn, QPR, Wigan, Villa at home, Everton at home, Swansea, Sunderland). City on the other hand have away matches to Arsenal and New Castle and home matches with Chelsea and United.

He got in over his dead. He runs a specific system which requires certain types of players, which he didn't have at Chelsea. Plus he had an owner who is basically an 8 year old child and players that think they're too important to play well.

Should have stayed in Porto and coached a few seasons in the CL. Then we'd know how good he really is. He wasn't experienced enough to coach and politically lobby for his position.

I don't think he's a horrible coach, he just wasn't the man for this job. His season at Porto was great and showed that the guy has potential to be a world class coach. However, I think that his inexperience at the top level is to blame for all this, the guy certainly tried to implement the system he's familiar with, but I think he lacked the experience and the ability to adapt and change his style in order to suit the players he had at his disposal. Not too mention that the squad is in serious need of a rejuvenation. Trying to play a high defensive line and wanting to implement nice attacking football while clearly lacking the players to do so is a clear example of that. His rotation policy was also strange to say the least, I know rotating is normal, but changing 5-6 players (while not having gargantuan squad like city) from the starting lineup almost every game is not.

It's a combination of all this (plus having feuds with key players) that got him and the team in this position, things weren't any good in the locker room and it showed in the field and the player's motivation.

I think he can be a good coach, he shouldn't have taken the Chelsea job, that's all.

We should've stuck with Ancelotti.

I dont think he is a bad coach. He would not have done so well with Porto otherwise. I think it is Roman's fault he did not succeed cuz he may have spent a lot of money to hire AVB but he did not give him the players he wanted to succeed. Samething when Carlo was coach.. he was forced to mostly make do with the squad at his disposal. When Ranieri was there he went on a spending spree and so did Mourinho .. Thats why he was so successful. They same was not offered to the coaches after him at Chelsea. The only notable player AVB brought that was his choice was Mata.
